Mourinho wants to be sacked?

Featured Replies

Totally disagree there Dorset. Sure, all coaches moan when decisions don't go their way but the majority appreciate that it's swings and roundabouts. Jose's gripe after the Southampton game when they should have had two penalties to our one was cringe-worthy.

The worst ever refereeing display we were on the end of has to be Overbro in the Barca semi. It was outrageous but I do recall how although Hiddink complained, he did so in a very calm and civilized fashion - given just how bad a refereeing performance it was. THAT is how I would like Mourinho to react.

Two different characters, I grant you Nibs, but more to the point [that I was trying to make] you didn’t comment on my first sentence - is Jose any different now than he was when we won the title last season? Not many complaints heard from the fans as to his ‘cringe-worthy’ attitude back then, if I recall correctly. And as far as the balanced viewpoint of a manager [after losing contentiously] is concerned, I will be very surprised if you can name me one who has ever come out  with the line “Still, never mind, it’s swings and roundabouts."

Jose in general turns into a bit of a child when it's not going his way.

He was like this a little in his first season back, moaning about the official wanting Liverpool to win the title...he done that on a number of occasions.

It's just that more often than not he's winning things so you don't see this side very much, however we are seeing it every other week now due to the way the seasons began.

It's not a great trait to have but we all knew this when he came back, you can't pick and choose his best bits of personality to suit. He comes as a package and right now we are seeing the down side to it.

He's always been like this though IMO.

Yes, Jose has made some howlers this season. The treatment of Eva Carneiro and the constant battle with the refs and FA.

Are the FA treating him harshly? Yes.

Have refereeing decisions gone against us? Yes.

Jose has got to move on from this and we need to get behind the best manager this club has ever had. Mark my words, WE WILL MISS HIM IF HE GOES! And I bet most of you were so happy to have him back. I know I was. He won't come back for a third time.

But I cannot get over the amount of people on here wanting our best ever manager sacked just because we're going through a bad patch is unbelievable. No wonder opposing fans call our fans plastic. Which manager do you think we're going to get at this stage of he season?

I would say he is different, yes. He will always be a bad loser (which I'm not moaning about because we don't want good losers!), but Jose takes it to a completely new level.

But in the past there has always been more humour. Okay, it's only natural that with us playing as badly as we have and losing as many games as we have, we aren't going to see the humour - I don't expect to, but I equaly don't expect him to lose the plot as much as he has. Someone of his experience and in his position needs to retain a certain amount of control.

And I have seen plenty of other coaches be more matter of fact about bad referee decisions. Not saying they have completely shrugged them off, but they certainly haven't used the siege mentality Jose has and gone to the same lengths of questioning the officials integrity.

All that said, I STILL want him to stay and turn things around!!

Actually Mike Deans performance when we played Sunderland has to be equally poor. 2 seasons back.

I'm sure the club will survive. Unless of course you think we were formed in 2005.

Survive? Yes.

Go on to be more successful than if we keep him longterm? Debatable, hence why he was brought back in the first place...

Can understand the sentiment behind this thread because JM's behaviour has become so erratic.  His words and his actions seem very self-focussed.  The remedy is quite simple, that he should get on with his job whilst keeping a low profile. At the moment he is not just bringing the game into disrepute, he is damaging the image of the club.  If self-control is beyond him, not only would it be better for the club to dispense with his services, but probably also better for him.

The remarks after the Southampton game that led to Jose being fined £50,000 are an opportunity for Jose to reappraise his public behaviour. On that occasion, instead of his rant, he could have said that in his opinion the incident with the goalkeeper looked to him like a penalty, but that the decision lies with the referee.  He could also have acknowledged that the opponents had two penalty appeals denied but again that it was the referee's decision.  He would have done far better to accept that on the day, the team that won 3-1 were the better side on the day but that he knew his players were working hard to improve results.  More humility wouldn't do any harm at all but so far he seems determined to carry on digging his hole.  Leaving the club isn't the only option because he has the choice to conduct himself differently and win back the support he may have lost.

His antics suggests a man who is fed up and wants out. The players, despite their public words of loyalty want him gone too. Obviously he won't just quit because that would mean giving up close to £30m in fees so he'll continue to make a nuisance of himself until his position is untenable and the club will have no choice. Meanwhile it's the club and the fans who continue to suffer.

This is not going to get any better anytime soon but worse. Sack him, pay him his money and let's move on.

Ridiculous post.

no, don't want him sacked but I do want him to resign now.. Hiddink to take over till next summer then get pep..

Never knew that standing by our manager's side is stupid.

Am I missing something?

did ya stand by the manager when it's avram grant, scolari, avb or benitez?

Dimwits?

Imagine Chelsea fans supporting the Chelsea manager on a Chelsea forum.

How utterly bizarre...

supporting the manager at the expense of the club?

Imagine a chelsea fan who wants the best for the club in the swiftest possible manner..

Poor start on the back of a double winning season...

The fans last night chanted his name, what do they know eh!

Because chopping our managers at the first sign of poor results has worked so well for us in the past hasn't it?

And is it so difficult to use "you" instead of "ya"?

Hmm, this is interesting.. hiddink won the fa cup, di matteo won the CL, benitez won the europa league.. your point?

Never knew that writing "our manager" when replying to your Jose's comment includes our past managers too.
