I kinda understand the sentiment but I'd much rather people put their efforts into making the real Chelsea better rather than starting up something completely unrelated.

Reading that guy's list of 'demands' though, it's unrealistic. Football has changed, society has changed and clubs aren't about the supporters at the matches anymore (unless you're a tourist on your first trip spending a small fortune in the Megastore). It's a brand and each clubs' brand is becoming increasingly identical.

But there's still parts of this club which are uniquely Chelsea and it's the fans and the history. Focus on that and try to ignore the rest of the sh*t.

Makes no sense to me. You love a club so much and are against commercialisation etc. so you just leave the club, you supposedly love, behind and go support someone else? Not real Chelsea fans if you ask me.

However, on a completely unrelated note FC United of Machester don't half take some support to their games. I can remember them coming to play at Ilkeston Town a few years ago. We went from having about 600 supporters at a game to a full 3 and a half thousand stadium. Crackin' support.

Fan power has reduced the cost of being an away fan at football. There's a lot of people who despise what football has become I'm one of them. The origins of "You ain't got no history" is aimed at the fans not the club as we have so many JCL'S. Me I've been going since the mid 60's and stopped going a few years ago as it's become a quiet soulless place that has alienated the average man and woman.

and this is what happens when a club has bad season.

Possibly but there's plenty of people who are disillusioned with supporting 'big clubs' nowadays because they feel like the clubs have moved away from what made them special. Instead they're simply multinationals who happen to occupy the same space and have the same name as clubs which one belonged to the community.

But yeah he could just be annoyed that we dropped a couple of points at home to West Ham and got knocked out of the FA Cup.

Or maybe the 49 points we have lost from 90 including the other 2 cup competitions we got spanked in, combined with losing our best manager ever and the potential loss of our best players.

Maybe it’s that?

All I know is I’ll be there next season with my season ticket cheering on whatever crap is going on.

Its nothing to do with that at all, the fella is a mate of mine & he's felt disillusioned with the club & football in general for years & now watches non league.

I do sympathise but it is just the way football is now.

The establishment of the premier league, champions league and sky has changed everything and it is now a rat race for clubs to keep up.

I do long for the days of Stevenage and kingstonion preseason games and believe me I will be looking to watch non-league too if that American charlatan establishes that horrible breakaway league.

Unitl then hang on in their mate
