Hardly a big deal driving while banned...friend of mine scouted this kid was disappointed he didn't do better

Why is it not a big deal to be driving while banned?  His insurance would be invalid.  I'd also want to know why he was banned in the first place.  Drunk driving?  So, if he ignores the ban (and also possibly is drunk) and wrecks your car, or worse injures you or a child, he will have no insurance to compensate you with.  You don't think that's a big deal?

Any thoughts on banned drivers causing an accident and hurting people, you for instance, or someone you love? No biggie, right?

Very grim list of what ifs not sure why insurance or a licence would prevent you hitting a kid??? Also from what I know he is a Muslim who doesn't drink, I almost got a Ban for undertaking a woman doing 55 in the overtaking lane of a dual carriage way who refused to pull in until I fired my lawyer and got a proper one which resulted in 3 points and a hundred quid fine, the police sometimes like to go over the top if it's a young guy in a nice car.  The point however was the theme was like he has ruined his life, in the context not a huge crime as opossed to me saying speeding high on coke with 6 hookers in the front seat while mowing down kids isn't a biggie

Sorry didn't see you on the bandwagon there same answer as above...to clarify the dangerous driving for getting a ban is what is potentially dangerous not driving while in a ban, again insurance doesn't prevent injuries, and to reiterate the correct was like he has ruined himself, young guy with money under constant scrutiny isn't easy, like I said I almost got a ban when I was younger for undertaking a woman refusing to leave the overtaking lane when not overtaking, undercover officer told me worst piece of driving he has witnessed, booked me for dangerous driving, when my lawyer viewed the dash cam with the prosecutor he told me he looked at him and said is that it? To which the prosecutor has the hand in the cookie jar look on his face and said if he was 40 in a Volvo he would have been lucky to get a fine, dropped the dangerous driving to speeding, you can get a ban for totting up as well, going through 4 speed cameras set to 30 at 35 will get you banned ....take home message don't be so harsh so quickly, but yes having 2 Little girls I am intensely against dangerous driving but again not the point here nor the reason for arrest warrent.

All blahblah. If you're banned, you shouldn't drive. Even the ones who are convinced they're being treated harshly.

It may not be the point, but then why post a silly statement that invites responses like Moi's and mine, or the bandwagon as you chose to call it.

End of matter, we've exchanged opinions.

You're not quite getting the point...

Do you know what the purpose of insurance is?

No mate I don't know anything about insurance I ride a bycycle and pull my kids behind in a trailer please enlighten me from your chest of smartarsedness...however it's you that doesn't get the point, it's not endangering lives which was suggested, end of. But to follow what I think you are alluding to: because we don't live in America no need for insurance to cover health care of an injured person, compensation can also still be sought if you are injured by a person who is not insured as can claims for damage to property from the motor insurers' bureau...I guess that scenario must have come up before you had your Galileo moment  clever clogs
