May 13May 13 The famous Larkhall Thistle. Curly's Bar is a pub I've visited many times over the years.
May 14May 14 Lochwinnoch Football Ground. ( Rural Village in the West of Scotland)The pitch is enclosed by a rusting rail, with a pair of dugouts and small stand for spectators. The changing rooms and a small bar are in a pavilion building behind the goal nearest the entrance. It's a 'proper' football ground. The Main Street is literally a two minute walk away. The playing surface is quite good, if a bit ‘undulating.’ Literally Grass Roots Football!😀My oldest son played in his late teens for a side which had this as their home pitch. He, or his then team are not in any of the photos shown below. Ironically, he now lives just a five minute or so drive away from this ground! Edited May 14May 14 by erskblue

May 21May 21 The feat for the fastest red card in football history was achieved by Lee Todd of Cross Farm Park Celtic in a mere 2 seconds into the match. Lee Todd was sent off for foul language after he exclaimed "F*ck me that was loud" after the starting whistle.

May 22May 22 An almost empty Hampden as Scotland play Northern Ireland in the 1969 Home Championships. The game was shown live on tv, that and the torrential rain kept the attendance to just 7,483! It was a ‘wee bit busier’😀 on 9th April 1960, when 129,193 officially saw Scotland and England draw 1-1. Add 25-30,000 for the true attendance for the April 1960 game. This game was also shown live on tv in Scotland. The Glasgow Police Officer, bottom left, certainly has a good view of the match!
