He next played against England for Scotland in June 1977 ! Bud never played for Scotland from Nov 1970 until April 1977 !! He was never the most popular person with the SFA hierarchy, though he attended SFA disciplinary hearings often enough😀until his move from Rangers to West Brom in the autumn of 1972. Bizarre that he went all those years without playing for Scotland. As you say, a number of disciplinary hearings. Bud, one of the many great Rangers wingers who have played for Scotland. Morton, Wilson, Henderson, Johnston and Cooper to name a few.
August 15, 20214 yr Sad News. The legendary Gerd Muller has passed away. ( I know Boyne has posted this news on another thread.)
August 16, 20214 yr Davie is on the phone to the bookies to place a bet. He did like the odd flutter on the horses.

That’s very probably ‘The Racing Post’ Davie’s got in the telephone box!😀 Rangers were 2-0 ahead going on 5 in this game at half time. Yet switched off early in the second half, allowing Dundee Utd to come back to win 3-2. That match took place 35 years ago !! Edited August 16, 20214 yr by erskblue
August 16, 20214 yr Possibly posted before. Taken in 1984. A few years later they would be reunited at Rangers.

The start of something big. As for Ray, I think it's safe to say that of all the clubs he played for the two he loved the most are Chelsea and Rangers. It's coming up to the 33rd anniversary of that great goal he scored against Celtic. Still one of the best goals I've seen.

Apparently when Ray & Souness went on international duty they’d always bump in to each other and have a catch up etc. Apart from when Scotland played England, then Souness would completely blank Ray the entire trip. The next time they met he’d be back to normal like nothing had happened!
