Wasn't that one of the reasons of why he wanted to leave Roma in the first place? I think he had suffered racial abuse from them while playing for Roma and that is why he wanted to leave.

I don't know if it was meant to be a sarcastic reply to my comment about Roma supporters singing louder than us or not. It don't matter anyway.

I think it's understandable when people live a considerable distance away and also can't financially afford the travel costs combined with the high ticket prices.

I do consider myself lucky to only live around 40 minutes from London and to be honest every time I go up to SB I'm just ecstatic to be there... maybe that'll tone down eventually though My dad is often still happy with the chance to go considering friends he used to travel up with before I was born have now all moved away.  

The only thing that gets on my nerves a bit are friends of mine that live close but have never chosen to take the train up even once. (One friend in particular, a spurs fan that is always giving me grief about Chelsea whatever chance they get despite not even going to a cup game. You'd think if you'd live an hours distance you'd be able to make it to at least one game in your lifetime )

From what I remember, it was just because of the racism in Italian football in general, not specifically from Roma's fans

They started making monkey chants towards the end of the match, apparently. f**king disgraceful. Italy still has a serious problem with racism in football, unfortunately

I didn't realise about these racist chants when Rudiger came out, but it is disgraceful and I hope the UEFA takes proper action. Unfortunately, it is something not only common in football but in society in general, and not only in Italy. They were the most lively away support I've seen at SB, but they didn't need to be racist scum to be great supporters of their team. Was it the whole away end or just the usual few making the reputation for all of them? As I said, I didn't realise they were being racist after Rudiger came on.

Well I was watching it on TV and can remember hearing the chants once, I think when Rudiger took his first touch infront of the away end.  So to hear it on TV it must have been a good majority.

If only we could make that sort of noise
