Getting someone like Zaha could be the difference in us getting CL or not, I think Zaha would certainly be part of Lampards core 14 players who alternate in the starting 11. I think if CHO plays well against Newcastle we will not get Zaha or strengthen in that position.

I dont think any transfer rests on the performances of CHO as I think Lampard and co understand that with youth you will always get inconsistency, I reckon any potential transfers may rest on Pedro's activity this window. If Pedro is moved along than the Management will definitely look to bring in reinforcements but if Pedro decides to wait until the Summer than I reckon they could make do with our current squad.

Unfortunately I am not good enough to be able to insert snippets form the internet here, but I have seen an site that shows Zaha's overall Premier League record of 199 appearances, 35 goals and 23 assists. That's a goal rate of 1 in 6 and an assist rate of 1 in 9, through his whole premier league career. I'm not sure how he would be a difference maker in us achieving CL football, to be honest.

The unknown is whether his scoring or assist rate would rise playing for us yet agree with your stats having looked myself a while back. I also get the impression he may have peaked unless of course it is his mental state still being at Palace this season. I looked on the one of the Palace forums and they were not worried about him going, comments like £80m was not too much realistically it should be £50-60m, of course the club will push for as much as they can get.
January 16, 20206 yr Still hoping all this about Zaha is bollox, a player who runs around with no pressure on him playing for palace, with very average stats, is already 28, and only really set the world a light when playing in the championship with Palace, seems to have an attitude that may upset the younger lads with his sulking and waving his arms about if things don't go his way ( perfect example was his pathetic performance at Bridge earlier in the season when Reece James took the piss out of him for 90 minutes) stay well clear Chelsea, at 80 million your having a laugh, Palace can come back to us if they start talking 30 mill, thats the going rate for a squad player. No messing about, lets get Sanch deal done.
