I watched him for 45 minutes last night and he was terrible but I've seen him play way better than that several times so I just think he wasn't trying or was injured or had an off night. For the record I don't think he's worth 80m but I do think we need to strengthen if we are too have any chance of beating say Bayern  or even staying 4th in the PL. There is a lot of revenue as well as expense at stake.

For me this guy has never proven that he is worth the price tag.  For the money being mentioned here i would go for someone like Benrama. A lot cheaper, younger and yet to fulfill h.si potential. What you see is what you get with Zaha now. Not good enough, not for me.

Just every time I see him play, which is nowhere near every match, I'll grant you, but it holds true.  I have never seen him give anything NEAR a MoTM performance, excepting in flouncing and complaining when someone like Reece James makes him look silly for an entire match.

As i said before he wants to leave, but he's caused Arsenal defence problems  after problems season after season.

Aww bless, jack. "Arsenal defence"???? really???? Wasn't there film a few years ago of a terrier dog running through the arsenal defence pushing the ball along with his nose?  The "arsenal defence" that has been immeasurably improved by adding David Luiz to it this year?

BTW, I just did a quick check on which players have scored most against Arsenal.  In the top 10 are Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Anelka and Dwight Yorke.

What makes you think that?  And they are two different types of player performing two different roles in two very different teams.

Fair enough, i was just using an example of a player that you rate that hasn't done much against Arsenals weak defence. I like Willian too.

I think Zaha is better than what we have but lets agree to disagree.

Zaha for 40-50 million + maybe.

Best chance of getting Zaha at a somewhat reasonable price would be to maybe bundle in an unwanted player or 2 (e.g. Giroud, Bats, Alonso). Maybe Palace would have some interest in doing a player plus cash deal.

I dont think he has a chance of joining an English CL team.

City wont go near him because he is simply not good enough for them.  We are well stocked on the wings right now.  Utd he wont go back to.  Spurs wont pay the fee/cant afford him.  Liverpool not good enough to get in their side.   Arsenal, probably wouldnt pay the fee.   So his next best bet is like an Everton.  But they are not CL.   So he's in a catch 22

We end up paying the fee for him closer to the end of the window and maybe throw a player in (or he stays, obviously)

Or he goes abroad in the summer. I think the Bayern stuff may have legs

Their highest paid player is on £50k

If palace are adamant they want more than £60m for him, and Zaha wants to play CL, then he will just stay at palace. The only teams across europe that could afford that fee, already have better players. 

I know he signed his contract, but i think they should lower their demands in the summer and let him move on. He has been a good servant, he wanted to leave in the summer, but stayed the obligatory extra season. They should just take what they can and move on.

Zero chance of him ending up at Bayern. Sane is twice the player Zaha is and they were not willing to pay the £100m+ City demanded in the summer.

Think McBurnie cost them 19.5mill

If the options involved are Zaha Now or Sancho in the Summer than I'll happily wait until the Summer to get Sancho however if the option is Zaha now or someone of similar ilk in the Summer than I am more than happy for the club to go all out and get him. Getting someone like Zaha could be the difference in us getting CL or not, I think Zaha would certainly be part of Lampards core 14 players who alternate in the starting 11.
