  1. Gronkjaer and effective wing play. 😂😂 He was quick and had a decent shot. That's about it. One of the most frustrating players to ever play for the club. Duff had a couple of good seasons and then was mediocre / injury prone. Hazard Mata Duff,, Robben, J. Cole, Malouda Willian Petrescu Kalou, Pedro ----- ------ ------ Gronkjaer
  2. I must disagree. He's a good finisher with both feet - much better than any of the those other guys - and score different types of goals. He's not cut out for leading the line at Chelsea though, in the current system. I'm pretty sure wherever he goes with half decent supply he'll get a good haul of goals each season.
  3. This is why I like him in that midfield. I see Chelsea midfielders get bullied and with Barkley and Loftus Cheek, you know they'll hold their own at least if they're not the ones doing the bullying - plus they're both technically very good.
  4. Aside from the misses he had a few moments where his hold up play really stood out. A big miss when he's not on the pitch. If a Batshuayi replacement is being sought, it has to be someone who is good at playing as the line front man and link with others.
  5. With players in close support around him he's decent and a good finisher. I don't see how Dembele is an upgrade though.
  6. Legends used too loosely. I guess the other one you hear now is icon. They were Chelsea 'heros', 'stars' if you want to call it that but legends are reserved for the very best who did it at the highest level over a long period imo. Cech Terry Lampard Drogba A. Cole Zola Hazard From the past, I'll leave the seniors to mention.
  7. Was not impressed with Rudiger, tbh. He hasn't been great since his return aside from the Tottenham game. Yesterday he has a few clumsy moments and was even done on a physical battle against Vydra after misreading a high ball. All four centre halves are a bit short of what's needed imo. If one was consistently solid it might be alright, but all are inconsistent.
  8. Burnley are a poor side. James lacks pace and mobility, tbh, and Hudson Odoi isn't great at tracking back. I could see it as a weakness for other teams to exploit should they choose aggressively attack down that side. His crossing is good, though.
  9. Ross da boss Had a decent game. Good to see him back in the lineup. Can do the business till Loftus Cheek is back to full fitness.
  10. He was 'an ardent Chelsea fan' as a kid apparently according to his wiki. Grew up in camberwell, same place as me... Hmmm...
  11. It wasn't too long ago we were saying Emerson looks a good signing. Some thing's amiss with him at the moment. Since his return actually. I think he'll improve though.
  12. The spring in his step is missing. Look at the video I posted above. It's a different player. Lightning quick, agile, hungry, fearless, confident.
  13. I actually think Morris had a big day on these things. He seemed pretty vocal about something looking to almost convince a contemplative Lampard shortly before the change.
  14. Interviewer asked him about scoring against one of top six sides. If I were him I would have said, but it's Arsenal, I don't think they count. 😛
  15. He's not suited to that wingback role it seems and he hasn't been great at left back lately, either.
  16. Obviously not but when the alternative is Alonso as a fullback, Yeah, everyone was dying for anyone with a bit of pace.
  17. He offered a bit of pace on the recovery, as well as a bit of pace going forward. I think there was more expected from him once he settled and got back to full fitness but he's been underwhelming overall. Today he was absolutely awful. Zouma and Rudiger very poor. Jorginho and Kante did what they do... They're not creative enough players or natural attack-minded midfielders. Hudson Odoi was shocking. Abraham didn't have much service but constantly overplays or wastes good moments and openings. Willian tried hard but couldn't do it on his own. The whole team was set up in a way that made it easy for them.
  18. Damn. People on here are very, very harsh towards the man IMO.
  19. The boss has been frozen out it seems. I'd like to see him get a chance over this period. Not given up on him yet. Adds a bit of physicality and height as well as a clever pass now and then.
  20. Alonso Tomori Zouma Rudiger Abraham All capable-good in the air.. Add Azpi who has a decent leap for a shorter guy. Felt much safer from set plays yesterday.
  21. Doesn't sound very promising. Hmmmm...
  22. He really Tottenham doesn't he? 😂. Was fantastic today. On fire. He had that blue arrow on him today and was flashing for sure. 😛 ( you PES players will know)
  23. Was a monster at the back today. Really bullied Kane. Very aggressive, sharp and assertive in his play today. Close runner up to Willian for MOTM in my opinion.
