Chelsea Safe Standing Survey

Thank you for your interest!

Unfortuntely the link you have clicked has already been used to complete our survey, or the survey has been closed, or there is some other problem.

You could try copying and pasting the link into your browser, or contacting the person or company that informed you about this site.

I got that too, I think it goes to all season ticket holders and members.

Safe standing would be great for people like me who sometimes cannot physically sit down for more than a few minutes!

Basically it seemed to be ‘do you honestly think we’d charge you any less because you have to stand up’.

Which I thought no because I basically pay to stand now anyway, having a seat for half time is a bonus but you’re up and down like a yo-yo for Johnny Pissalot.

Fans who sit down the whole game and go home with tonsils intact should be banned from future games.

Well at the minute I arrive with my throat f**ked and can’t sing anyway, I nearly died celebrating when CHO scored the other night :laugh2:

I know safe standing is allowed in Scotland and Celtic have a huge standing area which doesn't have any issues.  Although Celtic Park isn't famous for its atmosphere either.  When I took the Stamford Bridge stadium tour I was thinking one of the corners of the West Stand would make a good safe standing area to start with before increasing the size.  Although, if a new stadium is finally built, I guess it doesn't matter!

No doubt Chelsea will install some safe standing as and when English sides are actually allowed to use them.

At the moment Spurs, City, United and Wolves are just anticipating being allowed safe standing in the future and are basically just trying to get ahead of the curve. Bearing in mind we've been exploring a stadium rebuild it could be the club are avoiding spending on the stadium where they can.

I guess you are right. Just feel like it is an important signal to those in power, the more "big" clubs get them installed. Shows that there is willingness for change.

Do they still ask stewards in the MHL to walk up and down the stairs motioning for people to sit down? I remember for 5-6 years they would do that all game but seemed to me more recently they had given up...

In the Shed they normally started doing it at the beginning of the season but swiftly gave up not long in to it. Unfortunately it’s getting more common for people to just sit down anyway, it just feels wrong sitting at the football!

Wasn't there some part of the plans for the new/rebuilt stadium, that included provision for safe standing?
