I suppose it is inevitable that the best have to beat the best of the rest but Christ these girls get put through the wringer when it comes to cup draws.
February 10, 20233 yr Cheers for the ticket update @Boyne I’m finally going in the West Stand for Arsenal to complete being in every bit of the ground.

I need to decide whether I go and watch the women's game against Arsenal or stay at home and watch the men away to Spuds. Probably the women as there will be a greater chance of seeing Chelsea goals.

February 15, 20233 yr Not sure if already posted. Interesting comments by Erin. Will be interesting to see if the women's team play more games at the Bridge. Kingsmeadow is a great ground and have been there a few times but is it now too small especially with the rise in popularity of Women's football in recent years. There is a great atmosphere at Kingsmeadow. I suspect that playing more games at the Bridge won't just to be for the club but the local council and the police will have a say. More staff e.g. stewards would have to be employed. Also would there be an increase in ticket prices? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64619681 Erin Cuthbert: Chelsea have 'outgrown' Kingsmeadow ground. Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert says the club have outgrown their Kingsmeadow home and hope to play every game at Stamford Bridge within "a couple of years". The Women's Super League champions have played at Kingsmeadow, which holds around 4,850 fans, since 2017. This season a club record 38,300 fans turned out at Stamford Bridge to watch them beat Tottenham 3-0 in November. Some 10,000 fans also saw the Champions League win over Paris St-Germain. "We are only a couple of years away from being able to play at Stamford Bridge every game," Cuthbert told BBC Radio 5 Live. "We want to play 15 games there next year, then 20 - we have to keep pushing the standards. Growth never comes from comfort zones. "We have outgrown Kingsmeadow. England won the Euros, it's grown the profile of the game and everything has changed." Chelsea are second with a game in hand over leaders Manchester United, and are unbeaten at Kingsmeadow in the WSL since Brighton picked up a win in February 2021. "As a player, you want the atmosphere, you want to be playing in the big stadiums," Cuthbert said. "But when we play at Kingsmeadow it creates a hostile atmosphere, we really enjoy it. "The pitch at Kingsmeadow is of the same standard, I don't feel any difference on the grass. The only difference is the number of fans. "Football is a business, you want to become sustainable. We have to have the infrastructure in place before we can make such a move."

Tickets on sale! Buy buy buy! Re: Kingsmeadow - I’d really like to see it redeveloped and made bigger. Man Utd is the only game I’ve known to actually sell out 100% it’s not like we’re crying out for a bigger ground. Maybe moving up to around 10,000 (what we sold for the PSG game at The Bridge) with better facilities for both fans and staff? I don’t think they’re ready to jump from a 5k ground to a 38k ground just yet.

Just had a look at a map of Kingsmeadow and it does look like it could be enlarged. A 10.000 capacity would be a good size. Maybe play a few more games at the Bridge.
