FIFA has today revealed the candidates shortlisted for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022, with four Chelsea Women representatives included.

The Blues have a strong showing at this year’s awards with representation in the Women’s Coach of the Year category, Player of the Year and Goalkeeper awards.

Sam Kerr and Jessie Fleming have been nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Player, while Ann-Katrin Berger is again shortlisted for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper.

Emma Hayes won The Best FIFA Women’s Coach award in last year’s ceremony, and is shortlisted for the award once more this time around.

The winners for this year’s awards will be revealed on 27 February 2023.

Women’s deadline is tomorrow so Todd still has time to get us a replacement for Beth England.

Put a bid in for Russo and annoy Arsenal.

Whilst it’d be funny I don’t think she’d come with Kerr here. It’s a right sh*tter having the worlds best striker isn’t it!

Good point about her not coming here when we have Kerr. As you say, its a right sh*tter having the World's best striker.

Not sure if already posted but ticket details for the away games against Spurs and West Ham.

Was actually hoping for Russo when it was rumoured a month or so ago, is she definitely going to Arsenal?

Nope, transfer windows closed yesterday as well, she's staying at Man Utd until the summer.

I thought Munky said it was tomorrow! Ah well we’ll get her in the Summer then with Todd’s wallet!

I was lied to by a reputable source (aka the first result on google).

A select number of warm-up shirts worn by Chelsea Women in support of manager Emma Hayes last October are going under the hammer to raise money for the Ada Princess Fund.

Hayes underwent an emergency hysterectomy last October and announced via the club website that she would be spending some time away in recovery to return to full health.

We returned from an international break and travelled to Everton in the WSL on 16 October, the first match without our manager in the dug-out, where the team wore specially-printed shirts during the warm-ups which read, ‘Get Well Soon Emma’.

A message of support for Emma Hayes as she began her recovery from surgery in October

A small number of these shirts have since been signed by the women’s squad, and will be auctioned off to raise funds for a cause close to Hayes’ heart, the Ada Princess Fund, which is part of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

The Grace Kelly Trust funds research into rare childhood cancers, works towards earlier diagnosis of children with cancer and provides support to families at all stages of their journey. Click for more information about the Ada Princess Fund

Supporters can place their bids on these shirts when the auction opens at 2pm today (Tuesday) The auction runs for the remainder of this week and closes at 2pm on Sunday 12 February, with all the proceeds going to the Ada Princess Fund.

Emma Hayes returning to the dug-out at Stamford Bridge in November

Our head coach returned to the sidelines for our Women’s Super League fixture against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge in November, where the club marked a very special milestone as Hayes celebrated a decade in charge of Chelsea.

I wish they’d do these thing as a draw rather than bids. I’m sure they’d get more from thousands of people putting in £5 than 6 rich c**ts throwing a few hundred at it.

Good point. Would raise a lot of money.  I've recently entered a draw to raise money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Prize is afternoon tea for two at the Ritz Hotel with Joanna Lumley. For a great cause and the chance to meet a wonderful lady.

She was with us but left to join Brighton before Man Utd.

We have had some stonking strikers in our womens team tbf.

Ann-Katrin Berger has been named as one of the three finalists for the Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper award for the second year running.

The Chelsea goalkeeper, who in 2022 helped the Blues to a consecutive league and cup double and was part of the Germany squad that reached the Euros final, is joined by England and Manchester United’s Mary Earps, and by Lyon’s Chilean international Christiane Endler in the final reckoning.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Monday 27 February.
