Reports that we have been contacted with Bayern about Jerome Boateng.

Have rated him back in the days when he signed for Bayern Munich, he's 32 years old now and far from his top level form. Don't know how the sources are true, not sure why we're looking for him.

I'd prefer to have Alaba or Upamecano.

Surely that won't be our only purchase of a central defender, we'll have two venerated, but Ageing oaks for defenders

5 years too late for this deal. 

It makes sense since Tuchel is very much in the results now business. If he could land Alaba and him to go either side of Silva it will give him a vastly expierenced back 3 of winners.

Thought he would have been a good alternative to Silva last year. He'd be on huge wages and depending on whether we keep Silva I'm not convinced we want to be paying 300k+ a week for two defenders over 30.

Boateng was horrible when he played for City. Now he is a few years older and slower. I don't see how this is a good move for Chelsea. Get someone good in their prime. Not some one older who has been bang average at best.
