On a brighter note from our “toothless Tuchel attacking” ..

Not in December or early January we conceded a lot.

Now if we had been scoring a lot it would not have mattered yet we weren't:

Everton 1-0 loss

Wolves 2-1 loss

Arsenal 3-1 loss

Man City 3-1 loss

Leicester 2-0 loss

As i said, it was mostly good this season, up until the poor run that saw lampard sacked, especially during the 17 match unbeaten run.

Beat Everton and go top, 7 games later sacked.

Looked clueless since the everton game, never looked like stopping the rot, and played in a ridiculous manner.

Mr Tickle has stopped the rot, and we have looked stronger since he came in. Could be new coach bounce, could be players are trying harder, could be Mr Tickles tactics, could be different training. We will never know if Frank would have turned it around - but whatever the reason for the change, we look stronger now than we did under lamps. Still a long way to go to get us looking dangerous in attack, but the early signs are good. We certainly look sturdier at the back now than we ever did playing a back 5 under Super frank - Hell, even Kepa got a cleansheet!

Not sure why your'e going off on a tangent, i merely pointed out how quick things can turn, literally 7 games after having the chance to go top, he was sacked, that's how short the clubs fuse is.

We have been better defensively since Tuchel took over but we're not as bad in attack overall either.

We are 3rd when it comes to shot creating actions (Man City and Man United ahead) and 4th when it comes to shot creating actions per 90min (Man City, Man Utd and Villa ahead).

When we see goal-creating actions we're 5th (Man Utd, Man City, Leeds and Leicester ahead of us) and per 90 minutes we're 7th.

When it comes to live-ball passes that led to a shot attempt we're 2nd (behind Man CIty).

We can switch to a back 4 with T.Silva back in the lineup and for next season a new good CB is basically a must - sign a good defender and we're going to compete at a higher level since Mount, Tammy, Havertz, Pulisic and CHO are going to be better and better.

Time to stop using the back 3 that is left from Don Conte, Alonso is older now and we have Chilwell and James that can put in great crosses but they need to play in a back 4 next season. On top of that we would be better off with Pulisic, Mount and Havertz playing at the same time

From what I can see, those stats are for the whole season, aren’t they?

Yes, all games overall. I didn't express that as well as I wanted to...

Many think that we don't create enough but then again what can the teams that face us say?

Hold your horses @Gol15, we are struggling to score and Mount out of your favoured front three is the only one putting in decent performances.

Each match at a time please, at least that is the way I see it.

Next season with a better pre-season and possible additions and it might become clearer.

Players like Pulisic will need to prove themselves when fit.

Our attack can only get better next season. Till then we have to try and keep this tight defense as long as possible and hopefully a few key narrow wins will be enough for a top 4 finish.

I agree on keeping it tight unilt this season end, hopefully also Werner will score the odd chance and Giroud and or Tammy from the bench will score some too.
