April 4, 20224 yr Mods please move this post if necessary. Regarding our new owners, part of the remit is about the stadium rebuild/refurb. After Romans attempt the last time, what an epic episode that was, the plans, the cost, the complaints, plus untold other complications and eventually all to no avail. Now same old enigma, but just putting this forward, if our new owners press ahead with a new stadium, do you think the cpo would do the same deal if we were to build a new stadium at Earl’s Court. It would be far cheaper, we wouldn’t have to rent for three years and then the sale of Stamford Bridge would cover a lot of the costs. Ans. on a postcard. ps. My thoughts are if we miss this opportunity we’re backed to square one. Edited April 4, 20224 yr by Kev56
April 4, 20224 yr I think they should just take what was all ready planned and approved then just crack on! I liked the look of what Roman was planning.

April 4, 20224 yr I dont trust the Rickett's proposals honestly. It just sounds like a politician promising things to win over your votes. That said, whichever owner takes over, I hope they go through with the previous plan.
April 5, 20224 yr The original cathedral like plans were beautiful. Nothing like it anywhere. The idea of stand by stand redevelopment works, especially if you can have temporary seating as well. Included in the original plans were to dig 15-20m down to comply with height restrictions. I wonder if that’s still possible whilst developing one section of the stadium?
April 5, 20224 yr Yeah the cathedral design was incredible, real thing of beauty. It’s a shame that Roman couldn’t get it done.

July 30, 20223 yr Part of the buyout was to include money to rebuild the stadium. but what it they just say " we've changed our minds" ? Is that possible ? Was the promise to spend money on the stadium legally enforceable ?
