Still trying to find a full replay of the final since I couldn't be at home earlier today, but so many impressive games from the Chelsea (and everyone really) ladies in this Euro. Bright & Fran were formidable as always and I confess I couldn't go past any game without thinking that the men's team would also really be improved by having someone like Keira Walsh and Beth Mead as well.

Keira Walsh is on a different level...regardless of gender

The whole squad have been pretty faultless throughout.

Its a bit of a shame that everyone is now jumping on the bandwagon about how these women are pioneers and are creating a legacy for the future and yeah, that's a thing, but can't we just spend some time in acknowledging the quality of these players and the team's performances in every games for what they were rather than what it might mean for the future. Of course creating a platform is important, but Keira Walsh, Georgia Stanway, Beth Mead, Alessia Russo, Ella Toone. all fantastic throughout and Millie aand Leah Willaimson, best defendsive partnership in the entire tournament.

I thought as a team they played well together and the subs were made in good time so they were able to make an impact.

I haven't noticed Walsh much and to me looks awkward. would never have thought she was a player yet a magnificent through ball when freed from the marker. 

 

ID have Millie Bright at centre back in our mens team, and Fran Kirby ahead of most of our wide players.

I'd have Emma Hayes as the manager of the men's team when TT eventually moves.
