From today, if you are using an iPhone, you can now get a separate web app and push notifications to your phone from The Shed End.

Simply load the forum in Safari, then click the Share button at the bottom and click 'Add to Home screen'.

You must be running the latest iOS 16.4 for this to work so make sure you have updated.

Open the forum on your new App icon on the home screen, then go to the bell in the top menu (three lines menu that pops out), then click 'Notification Settings'.
Go through each one and make sure all the 'Push' is ticked, then at the bottom, click 'Enable in this browser'.

Now when you get PM's, mentions, or new posts on any forums you follow, your phone will notify you. To change how you are notified on your phone, just go to the notifications settings on your phone settings and click on The Shed End Forum.

Android users; hopefully, the same is coming soon for those.

With the pure amount of tagging in nonsense by @axman2526 I’ve decided against this. 

You can just out leave the Mentions one without a 'push' instead.

He’ll find a way to bother me. Always has, always will.

Just a heads up if the forum update has stopped notifications to your phone!

Click notifications at the bottom menu, then click the cog on the top right, scroll down to the bottom and make sure you have the notifications enabled on Push! If not, click enable notifications on this browser!

I’ve not been on in a while but having come back to the site and using the app to browse. This is a really brilliant upgrade, massively convenient - well done to everyone involved 👏
