Mount has superior fine skills. I love Gallagher for his energy and commitment but I doubt you can develop fine skills at his age. Edited May 10, 20233 yr by dermott

May 11, 20233 yr Well I've been wrong so many times it don't make no matter. Gallagher scored his goals playing midfield for Crystal Palace. Mount scored his from effectively left wing playing for Chelsea. I've seen Mount mis hit many shots, essentially not having that coolness under pressure that marks out natural strikers. He should have scored more goals in my opinion and perhaps if he hadn't been injured he might have done this season. Yet im unconvinced. From what I've seen Gallagher doesn't lose his cool in the same way. Mount is better at link play, and assists. I also think Gallagher's work rate and ability to tackle in midfield is way better than Mount's as the latter is a naturally more forward player best with the ball at his feet. So Gallagher is natural midfielder who can score goals whereas Mount is either a wide attacker or a No 10. Still even though that's what I think I haven't seen enough of Gallagher to really tell. Certainly seen plenty of the great Mason Mount.
