This was in the Third  Round of the Scottish Cup. 10th February 1951.

Rangers and Hibs had played at Ibrox  in front of an official attendance of 101,209!

This was a League game which ended as a 0-0 draw on 29th April 1950. Rangers won the League Championship by a point from Hibs that 1949-50 season.

The Rising Sun:Good shout.

It was soft impact training, on the legs, if not the heart and lungs!

So would develop all round speed, strength and endurance.

Against Celtic on 1 January 1963. Rangers won 4-0. A great Rangers team. One of the best Rangers sides of all time. The same scoreline would be great tomorrow! Have to dream!

Oh for a player like him tomorrow.

If only the two of these were able to complete the Rangers midfield tomorrow with Ian Ferguson!

Definitely. Bomber always gave his all for the club and as for Ray, we all know his talents. Both knew what it meant to play for Rangers.

Two great captains and players. Also the formidable Tiny Wharton as ref.

The size of him !

A very sad day for Rangers and football.

I remember my late Father phoning his parents to check that members of the family were okay. They were. Two of my uncles were at the match.

In memory of the 66 who lost their lives.

The stairwell where 66 Rangers supporters tragically lost their lives on 2nd January 1971.

Lest We Forget!

This is a picture of the stairwell taken the following season.

My old man was persuaded by my mother, to take us to the Kelvin Hall Carnival on 2nd January 1971.

Stairway 13 was the stairwell he used to enter and exit the Ibrox terracings.
