This is a picture of the stairwell taken the following season.

My old man was persuaded by my mother, to take us to the Kelvin Hall Carnival on 2nd January 1971.

Stairway 13 was the stairwell he used to enter and exit the Ibrox terracings.

The bottom picture caption simply said Ibrox Stadium. I don't know if it is, but I posted it because of the astonishing steepness of the stairwell in the background.

Very true. Frustrating as last night's game was - and a draw was probably a fair result - speaking to some of the people I go to the games with and hearing about what they are experiencing as regards family it puts football into perspective.

Bill Struth was a great manager. Knew what it meant to manage Rangers and what that club stood for.

I think  Mid - late 1970s I

Above:Late 1960s. The blue pillar at the end of the north enclosure was where my old man and his mates stood . 
My younger son has a season ticket for the Govan Stand Upper and his seat is situated almost directly above where his Grandpa stood!

Below:Colin Stein v Falkirk in the early 1970s: My old man and his mates are very probably in their regular spot next to the blue pillar!

Great picture. I think the picture has been posted before and was there a discussion about who the players were? Difficult to tell from behind. I'll have a look on some of the Rangers forums to see if anyone knows.

Jim, Tommy and Willie McLean. I wonder if the picture was taken in either Larkhall or Ashgill where they born and grew up. Tommy was a great player for Rangers. As for Jim, I think it's fair to say he didn't suffer fools. Great manager. Old school like Wallace and Clough.

I think that after the tragedy that staircases were altered so that you couldn't walk straight down anymore. Altered so that the single long staircases were divided up into a  series of shorter lengths .
