Anyone got itchy feet yet?

I keep whistling 'Abide with me' when I'm strolling round the office, but it's hard to whistle with this big cheesy grin on my face!!

This time tomorrow I'll be supping on a few pints with the kick-off only a few hours away!!

I've starded to feel the 'magic of the FA cup' again and feel like a kid on Christmas eve.

C'mon Chels, don't let me down!!

Get the beers in early you tart. A 9am wetherspoons breakfast with a pint is the perfect way to start any day. Then over to Baker street early doors.

yep, the butterflies have been here for a while now and I am becoming more and more anxious as the hours pass.

One thing that has suprised me here at work, is how almost everyone at work is talking about the game and predicting the score. It realy has grabbed their attention. Not many Chelsea around here, well it is Birmingham, but I sense the locals would prefer it if the person lifting the trophy at the end of the game is John Terry rather then a sweaty manc in a sweaty red shirt.

blue flags are flying here.

It can't come quick enough... Just deciding if I should do the whole face paint thing icon_lol.gif Got flags, air horn, Centenary shirt for me .....

Well here we are ! another momentous day for the club and a day we can all be proud to share with each other on here and the hundreds of thousand's of Chelsea fans across the world.

I was having trouble getting geared up for this over the past couple of days believe it or not, but last night I couldn't sleep a wink, just kept thinking about all the possible scenarios and everytime I tried to close my eyes a new one would appear to me, ended up getting up to make a cuppa at about 3-30 am and started watching the 1970 replay Video and that did the trick, well & truly.

So wish I was going, but will be with all of you lucky enough to be doing so in spirit, will be with you all in the Globe at Baker St, walking across the street to the underground, and then the short journey to Wembley, the songs, the colours, the walk up to the stadium, the whole experience, fantastic!!!!!

I have just spoken to my elder brother Kev (the swine who got me hooked 42 yrs ago!) and he's going, said he'll give a shout for me, any how, today is the day to lay some ghosts (particularly that '94 one) so let's do it! I as usual will be behind the bar downstairs swamped by unowot, but will be wearing my centenary shirt and shouting my lungs roar, bollox to decorum, they come into my pub they know what to expect!!

So just before kick off I will sneak out the back for a quiet moment of prayer (Ossie, Hutch, Nobby Houseman, M. Harding etc,) can't hurt can it? and then let battle commence, Good luck to us all and may all of you going find the voices and passion necessary to give the players that extra push over the winning line and bring the cup back to the Bridge, and those of us without tickets will be doing the same.

This is a very special day let's make it "A BLUE DAY" "COME ON THE CHELS'"!!

PS: Just noticed!! this is my 100th post!!!!!!!!!!!!

All week I have been so nervous, gradually building up in my tummy. Last night couldn't get to sleep for ages. Thank God I didn't wake up until 11:00 am, which has reduced the waiting time. Sitting here wearing my shirt, even the dogs have picked up on my nerves. Think I might take them out for a walk before the match, just so I can calm down a little, as I'm actually shaking.

Yesterday evening I was having a chat with the lad who does my garden, he is for his sins a Manc, but you know what he said - he thinks we will win! I nearly kissed him. Then last night spoke to one of my old friends in East London, a Hammers fan. He has put money on us to win and he will be shouting for us today. All this, yet I can't get rid of these nerves. I remember the 1970 final, so well. It was brilliant.

I too have been saying a few prayers. I know my dad will be up there, dressed in blue, waving his scarf and singing, and I know he won't be alone. It's days like this when I really miss him, knowing that he would be feeling the same things. It's his fault I became a blue, never had any choice really. He gave me this feeling in my belly. I really should have been like all my female friends who say "don't really understand this football thing" "why do you care so much about it - it's just not like the rest of you that we know". To them, when it comes to Chelsea I become an alien.

In a couple of hours, my home will have all three tvs on, just in case I have to move from one room to another and I might miss a second, my dogs will all be wondering, who is this dog called Chelsea that she keeps shouting at? They think he must be very bad. Part of me thinks I can't even watch it, that I should record it then when I know the score watch it, if we win (I know that should be a WHEN). Oh Gawd. I have these constant negotiations with God. I cannot die until.... and achievements for Chelsea score very highly in my list. If we win today, well there's still the Champions League and of course getting the Premiership back again. Maybe it's that we have to do all four in one season. Yes, that's it. I can go when we win all four. Well, maybe not then.

I'm rambling, it's nerves. I'm off to take my dogs out. I'll be back just in time for kick off and I can make my decision then. I cannot drink so I can't even have a stiff whiskey to calm my nerves.

Thinking of everyone, especially those who are there - you lucky barstewards! For the rest of us at home or in pubs, have a great time!

Finally - Chelsea be good to us! and may the best London team win today!!!!
