Thought I'd start a topic as the game is tonight/tomorrow.

Anyone getting up/staying up to watch it, 4am BST kick off.

I probably will, got college but I'm doing bugger all work atm.

Jose has said Essien and Lampard will start.

If it's anything like the last friendly with those lot, you would be better getting some shuteye Alan.

I use to stay up and watch the friendlies on Chelsea TV, but after that game the last time, I thought it would make more sense to sleep.

They are replaying the game 'as live' at 8 and 10 am - I'll catch one of those rather than knacker myself for the whole day!

I'll stay up. Even if the last game wasn't that good and this one might be pretty bad too I still won't want to miss it. Since it's been awhile since the season ended I need all the fixes I can get. So I'll stay up all night. The game starts at 5am here so I don't see the point of going to bed after it.

I really couldn't care less about these point-less friendlies in the States!

And would never stay up to watch it!!

Its commercial driven w**k!

When we used to play pre-season in Holland,Sweden,Denmark even in Ireland......(Cork,Sligo,Derry)....etc

...They were competitive friendlies of a decent standard,played in weather conditions not dis-similar to ours!

But now,the club's over there squeezing the pound note/dollar.

For me its shocking prep for another big season coming up!!

I cant wait till they get back......to play some decent oppo!!

exactly- i can't understand how they can do a decent pre season and be fit doing this rubbish. The only positive is that all our rivals seem to be doing the same thing:>:>!! ha ha !!

Does anybody know how to watch the games on Chelsea TV online? I dont see any options for live games.

And what are all you bothered about? Ever think that in America we have to get up anywhere between 3am and 6am to watch Chelsea games live? Yea...

it will start working half an hour before the match.

Just to make sure I'm right: It's 8:00pm for West Coast USA?

Also, the way to watch the game with commentary is to go to commentary on the Chelsea TV online, and sync it up with the asian PPV?

It's the nature of football nowadays for a club like us.

I don't really see it as a bad thing tbh, it gives our fans who don't get an opportunity to get to the Bridge very often to go and see the team in action.

Of corse I remember,

Joe got injured and it was a complete waste of time for the team.

Pre season aint for Globe-Trotting and selling 'the brand'.

Its prep for the up-coming season.

Its too far to take the whole squad and expect them to be totally tip-top when they return.

well you just have to face the fact that football is no longer just a sport, it is also BIG BUSINESS and if you want to see your chelsea with the joe coles, frankie lampards, and michael ballacks, then you will have to suck it up and let them do what they need to do to make money to pay those stars...

Glad there's someone else who is going to stay up and watch.

Although I just know I'm going to wish I hadn't bothered come the end of the match!

And as for these matches being just one big money making exercise and a sheer waste of time - of course they are!

What do you think MU are doing playing some no marks in Asia?

For the good of their footballing skills?

Whilst they are glad handing the Asian market we are sucking up to the Americans. Their fans are probably moaning much the same as we do about their exploits.

Accept it, maybe as the fans have no choice however it does not mean it has to be agreed with.
