Peeking Duck?
Bruce buck suggests there was somehttp://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 07,00.html Anyone who was at the game hear anything that can be interpreted as anti-semitic? Don't believe the article said anything about racist chanting. There was some mention in Buck's notes of "fan postings" that "could be" construed as anti-semitic or racist. loz
Oops - posted trhe wrong link It was the BBC report I meant to post http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 020854.stm which seems to suggest that they are referring to written and verbal abuse (although it doesn't specifically mention any chants at yesterday's game) My apologies. glory55
The usual stuff loz,you know what I mean. Nothing out of the ordinary. We do have a few naugthy songs and you regularly hear them. I did hear a new song about Avram Grant's faith that I dont agree with, simply because its NOT helpfull. Whatever we think of the 'y*ddo' chants at the Bridge,it is in many of our songs. We have gone over the rights and wrongs of this,I personally think its all pretty light hearted. But the people who boooo'd the team yesterday nearly sparked a riot in the North Lower. Those horrible, ungrateful boo boys can f**k right off! This bit from the BBC article made me laugh. Chelsea supporters were also chanting the name of Mourinho during the second half of their game with west London rivals Fulham at Stamford Bridge. How dare we sing our most succesful manger's name. And the club's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich, who sat with fans in the upper tier of the Shed stand instead of his private box, was forced to endure their taunts What a load of old bollox! I love the way the media try and wind this whole thing up!
ethicalstrategy
I have to agree with you here Glory. There was nothing in the least bit intimidating at the match.. I was surprised how subdued the whole thing was. Nothing was sung about Grant that I could hear - good or bad. There was some booing for Sheva when his name was read out before the match. We had one chant about Mourinho after about 10 mins and then again with a bit more feeling near the end. The only time the crowd really got going was when Drogba tried to lift things before he was sent off. I think people were more disillussioned than angry - it probably helped that we didn't play the match immediately after Jose's sacking. People had had a chance to calm down. geezer
Actually the quote attributed to Buck was extracted from his programme notes for Saturday's game and weren't a reference to anything which occurred at the weekend. As usual this is inaccurate media reporting.

loz
I think he is Canadian but worked in new York for quite a while before moving to London. He has actually been a Chelsea fan for a lot longer than people may realise. he has been coming to the Bridge since the mid 80s.
mbh
He has actually been a Chelsea fan for a lot longer than people may realise. he has been coming to the Bridge since the mid 80s. So he would be used to the situation where we find the club is in again, living on hope and a prayer, and that all we can hope for is maybe a win, but would gladly settle for a draw, but praying we do not lose.
