BLUENUT
Rumour mill says they fell out after Grant made him give Drogba the armband. I'd take Bridge on current form all day long. He is the only person at the club capable of crossing a ball.
ethicalstrategy
I have to say that article is an absolutely accurate assessment of the situation. Quite a change though from last weeks papers who were saying Bridge was out of favour and on his way to Anfield!
callista
I think it will be interesting to keep tabs on this situation between Bridge and Cole. I preferred Bridge last season over Cole and although both have had good games this season at different times but again I think I still prefer Bridge overall. I think Cole's ego will not take too much so called humilation over the fiasco of the switching arm bands which was silly really and if Avram is meant to enjoy the psychological side of keeping players happy - he may have to start working on that with Cole. He always seemed quite an arrogant and ego driven individual to me even by football players standards (that's Cole not Bridge obviously!).
BLUENUT
And I think it's safe to say Bridge has never had a phone up his arse
Nibs
I've always rated Bridge and never saw the benefit of us signing Cole. Don't get me wrong, Cole is a very good full back, but when you already have an excellant full back, why sign another? I would say they are fairly equal defensively but Bridge is a lot better going forward and a much better crosser. All that said, Bridge cannot afford to ever have another game like he did for England last time out as that was one of the worst diaplys I have ever seen!!! Guest Brian M
I've been a huge fan of Bridge for ages. He is a (slightly) better defender than Cole. And is (much) better going forward than Cole. Give me Bridge over A. Cole any day of the week.
The Brit
I said it then and I will say it now...the deal which saw cole come here and gallas to the arse was the worst bit of business in the roman era...worse than £30m for sheva etc...it cost us the title last year, no doubt
