Right! Chuffed to pieces. By know means was this tie decided before the 2nd leg tonight and we had a lot of work to do and got the job done without THAT MUCH of a scare at any point in the game. I was not THAT impressed with the performance but as a fan it doesn't need to be done in style it just needs to be done and I could see that the lads believed in themselves tonight and believe we were the better side that certainly over the 2 legs deserved to go through. At the end of the day we could have played like Arsenal and lost that game and afterward gone "We're out but we played really well today", or we can play it a bit scrappy but grind out the result because we knew it was our night throughout...Ask a gooner tomorrow what they would rather be saying hey... All in all I enjoyed game and was very proud of the lads. Flying the blue flag with pride in Europe still. Bring em on in the quarters... COME ON CHELS

gone for Bosingwa...played with a lot of flair and creativity at times and used his pace and acceleration to his advantage. although Cech put in an extremely solid performance and Mikel played a consistently solid game AGAIN. really can't fault the lad these days. growing fond of him. i have quite a few flashbacks of Ballack making me pull my hair out as well..... proud of the lads and looking forward to the draw well done blue boys

i think everyone is under-estimating mikel. when someone asks me which 3 to pick of the 5, i immediately say Lampard and Mikel. i can't stress how impressed i have been with the lad this season at his commitment and determination. ballack certainly doesn't deserve his starting place and at the moment i would rather see juliano there! but of course my 3 would be Mikel, Essien and Lampsy in that order from back to front. i kept my eye on Ballack at the Wigan game and he barely commited to a single header or challnege whereas Mikel went into each and every tackle with a purpose and the belief that the ball was his.
