clubhappy
Apart from certain programmes, Legends, Match build up and Paper talk , i find the channel predictable . Ok , we have the classics games but absolutely no games from the 70's , none. Is there a problem with footage or copyright ? And Kerry Dixon is a miserable sod half the time , love the guy to bits but have a laugh now and again Kerry , too serious sometimes.
glory55
I wouldn't touch it clubhappy. Cant see why we ever needed a Radio station,Tv Station and a Hotel. Never been interested in subscribing even before I surrendered my sky tv because its a corporate load of rubbish. If you dont know whats going on at the club through your friends, the internet and the stands ......... ....and you need a doctored club channel to tell you......well you need to fix up! 90 other league clubs manage without it! There is way too much football on TV now anyway..... ..... and sky have a dangerous amount of power in our game.

There is way too much football on TV now anyway..... ..... and sky have a dangerous amount of power in our game. It's nothing to do with sky, apart from the subscription management. It is corporate, but it doesn't stop sensible discussion, for instance when Jose was sacked there was extensive coverage including criticism from fans and pundits alike. There are a lot more than 2 clubs with their own TV channel these days. A lot of the premier league clubs have a channel, albeit just on the internet. But as well as ManUTV, Liverpool and Arsenal TV are now available via the Setanta package and so are Rangers Tv and Celtic TV. Real Madrid TV (English version) is available free too. I certainly don't spend my whole life watching it, but it's good if you want to watch full match coverage of every game, albeit delayed. I do agree though that you won't find out anything you didn't already know in respect of transfers etc.
The Brit
but it does bring you lots of info from the training ground that you don't get anywhere else and last week on big match countdown they did a live interview with anelka a few minutes after he'd signed his contract...it's not amazing, but it's not as bad as been made out...plus there are the odd good moments where you get a first team player in the studio for questions or a chelsea legend...the other week they had hudson and lampard and it was great viewing
Backbiter
It's decent, and not too pricey at £6/ month - not that much more than a programme these days!
Enrico
And it was on ChelseaTV that I heard we are actually going for TWO Barca players.

cappy
Had Chelsea Tv and got rid of it , nothing on, and nothing on at the right times. And then it was all "pullng the company line" and very poor presentors. Disappointing really! But if I was back living in Australia I would get it (if available) to get the delayed games. clubhappy
Saw the Hudson/Lampard episode. Great to see Alan Hudson looking well. He's a fitness fanatic and claims that his workout routine helped save his life after that awful accident. Man is one of my heroes. Which brings me back to my original arguement , bugger all 70's footage. I would love to watch a few of those games , Hudson and co but it's clear they either havnt got any and couldnt be arsed trying to locate them, or they wont pay for them. mad_mac
I had it for a while when I was back in Sotland, and thought it was ok. Indeed it is relatively cheap at 6 quid amonth. I did like that if you missed a game it was back on that night at midnight, so it was good to watch the game then (or even recap it if you'd seen it previously). The old games were worthwhile, but would like to have seen even older ones. The main thing that pi**ed me off was Spy! I mean, Live from Stamford Bridge (a call in show) is always going to be a chance of a show..relying on decent points of view from some of the folk that call in; however, the presenter Spy (same bloke who waffles on at half time while parading old players)' although he may be a wealth of Chelsea knowledge, is really condecending at times to the caller, and really uses them to merely put over his own points! I remember a bloke calling in, and said something quite innocent like "back in 96 when we beat portsmouth 3-2.." and then the presenter cuts him off spouting "well, the score was actually 4-2, not 3-2, there were goals from...." and then keeps showing off his "knowledge" rather than let the caller have their say. I did like it, but really only for the old games, and the ressies. Big match countdown is decent for getting some infor before the games kick off. Not bad, if you're considering it it's only 6 quid...even try it for a month and then unsubscribe if you don't like it as it's a month by month subscription. Oh, and the other poor thing...you have to wait until about 5 for the programs to start (at least you did a couple years back), wheras Man U TV runs all day Scott
The Brit
you're right about neil barnett...he quickly pipes up if he doesn't agree with people and thrives on thinking he's the big man cos he knows his stats...i always thought he was a bit of a geek, the nerdy kid who got beaten up at school. his pre-match rants and team announcements are an embarassment too

He mentioned it on the CFC channel the other day. The KGB don't like spy's!
Enrico
He probably got a visit at 3am from some Russians in black suits and opened the door to find a red light on his forehead.
