Not bad. Not bad at all.

Two things though.

1. Can we play both Lampard and Ballack? They don't seem to suit eachother. Sad but true.

2. Can Maka play? Maybe it's time to use Mikel instead (without the red card of course). If Mikel play this tuesday then maybe Maka will play against Spuds.

* might have to put Cashley in to keep up with that little girl that flaps her arms as she runs up their right side.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what team Grant puts out for the final. With everybody fit, it's going to VERY interesting. For one thing, I want to see him have the balls to NOT have Sheva on the bench. Same with Crapouda. Because if you look at the team I'm suggesting we play (which almost picks itself, really), then we need attacking players on the bench who can come on and change the game, in case Sp*rs are ahead with a jammy goal. Sheva is not one of them. SWP can run at tired defenders. Same with Kalou, who's in great form.

The only thing I've just realized is that I didn't put Essien in the team or even on the bench!

Yowzas. Talk about being spoiled for choice! icon_eek.gif

Hard to pick a team for this one

I am taking it Drogba is not quite fit so he would be a late sub,

------------------Cech----------------

Belletti--Carvalho---------JT-------Bridge

------------------Essien----------------

Cole-------------Lampard---------Ballack

-------------SWP-----------------------

-----------------Anelka-----------------

Subs--Carlo-Mikel-Drogba-Alex-Kalou

Hard choice for the holding role and a big case for Maka and Mikel, I went for Essien for his power around the midfield.

I would go with;

.................Cech...................

JB.........JT..........Ric.......Bridge

Essien...Lamps....Mikel.....J.Cole

............Drogs......Nico.............

An easy victory. Sod Ballack.

My team too, Elliott, but not my last sentence assessment or sentiment. I think the match will be an extremely difficult one and the choice between Lamps and Ballack in a 4-4-2 would be critical. Measure Frank's ability to get forward and score against Ballack's skill at finding a killer pass for two strikers, as opposed to our usual lone one in a 4-3-3. It's the sort of problem Avram has to sort out now that everybody is fit (although Frank might not get 90 minutes this early). Against an attacking team he may well opt for the passer, believing there's enough going forward from midfield with Joe and Essien.

I'd go with

---------Cech

Belleti----JT---Carvalho---Bridge

-----------Essien

J.Cole--------------Lampard

-----------Ballack

------Drogba-----Anelka

Subs: Cudicini, Alex, Kalou, SWP, Mikel/Makelele

I believe Grant will still go with a 4-3-3 tho. In that case, Joe Cole might very well start. And one of Anelka and Drogba will be on the bench.

Just hope that Terry and Lampard will play, and Malouda gets dropped.
