MHedges
Can't wait for this one...even though it's going to be on at 5:45am where I live (California). I think I'm going to sign up for Chelsea TV so I can be sure I get a stream, and some good commentary. Anyone got any news on this match? I haven't heard anything about who is playing, other than I think I heard Sinclair being flown out...

dreadis
Another pointless friendly  You are forgetting that it is "business as usual"...Kenyon is counting his money as we speak! Nevertheless...I don't think these friendlies are pointless as we now have the team with new players, manager and totally new philosophy. These games are great for them to get to know each other better. Come this weekend we'll see if that has worked!

MHedges
Search Cech, Essien, Carvalho, Terry, Bridge, Deco, Mikel, Lampard, SWP, Anelka, J.Cole Essien as RB?!? Guess Paulo needs some rest... Also, wasn't aware Alex can't speak English yet... Edited July 29, 2008 by MHedges
MHedges
Anelka scores the first at 26'. Would have been stopped by the keeper by any premier team...well...almost any.

Mr Chelsea
How are we looking? Are we getting any decent amount of fitness/match sharpness from this one? yeah should have give the lads a good fitness boost, seemed to go a bit astray in the 2nd half, but thats with all the subs i spent most of the 2nd half reading the chat room, attached to the stream, it was dead funny, malasyan's and chinese being racist towards each other

blizeH
I know that Drogba is injured, but why aren't Pizarro and Sheva getting a run out?
Mod
Sheva got 5 or 10 mins at the end, I would say hardly enough time to do anything and get into the game, but Joe scored within 2 minutes of coming on the other day, so I won't.

coombsie
Just watched the highlights on CTV. Have to say we looked a little jaded (3 games in 6 days). The Malaysians were a lot better than the 2 Chinese sides, but still were only League 2/3 standard. The pluses for me were Anelka, scored and looked sharp throughout, Deco continues to impress, Alex looked very safe at the back, and Ashley Cole, great touch for his goal and completely untroubled at the back. We could and should have had 5 or 6 goals again but 13 for in 3 games and zero against is a reasonable start. What I really like is the obvious camaraderie and banter on the bench , with Phil, Clarkie and the other chaps. Never seen Clarkie smile as much :)

coombsie
deco!incredible flicky sh*te will be back at the bridge- excellent news. G4, I thought the same when we signed him, but he seems to be playing with purpose. He is looking to pass his team mates into good postions if occasionally trying to hard for the killer defence splitting pass. His fouling is a worry, he'll be slaughtered by Prem refs, but as to the flicky stuff, not much sign yet.
