is there no statutory stand down time for concussion in football? i know there is in rugby, but im not sure if it exists in football.

i suppose if he gets the go ahead from the club doctor then there will be no problem

i'm not sure if there are any specific rules regarding head injuries

No, it is only in rugby - I think the logic is that there is a lot more pressure on the head in rugby as men who should know better pass the time with their heads placed in areas that are rarely cleaned properly.

thats why i played full back or centre, kept my head well away from them areas at all times.
