I'm sorry Drogba I appreciate the many goals and your contribution thus far to Chelsea FC, but you have talked sh** about my club once too often for me to idolize you. The sending off in the final did not help either. If you had a problem say it to the management and not the f*cking press. I wish him luck as long as he is in a Chelsea shirt, and that's it.

agree totally with everything you said. thats pretty much exactly how i feel about him. while hes at chelsea i will support him, but when he leaves i wont shed many tears. he will never be held in the same esteem as recent true blue legends like franco, JT, robbie di matteo etc...

When a guy talks about ego he has one. Drogba has a big ego, too big even. He thinks very much of himself. On the other hand it is really irritating but it transforms to his game as well. He always wants to take the biggest role and that is a sign of leadership. Just like JT does in defence.

I hope his knee problem is not permanent and he can still be what he has been for the last two seasons. We really need that Drogba.

I agree that if/when he leaves Chelsea there wont be too many tears for him as he wouldn't shed a tear himself either.

The BBC's take on the matter:

I stayed for Scolari - Drogba

Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba has admitted Luiz Felipe Scolari persuaded him to stay at Chelsea.

The striker was considering a move away from the English club in the close season.

"I spoke with him [scolari] and he showed he wanted me to stay and that's what finally convinced me," Drogba told a British Sunday newspaper.

"It's true that it was 50/50 as to whether I would stay but I still think I have something to prove."

Having worked with the Brazilian for nearly three months now, Drogba has likened Scolari to his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who left the club a year ago.

"Scolari is one of those coaches who is very close to the players. His style is similar to Mourinho's," said Drogba.

"I like this type of coach. I feel much more comfortable with this style of management."

So there you go. Nothing to do with the fans, the club or anything else you can think of. He likes playing for Scolari, that's all.

The only thing DD has to 'prove' is that he is not the completely egotistical, whinging, childish tit that these interviews imply he is...

Unfortunately, he isn't doing a good job.

Mouth shut, and do your best on the pitch. End of.
