I think Ashley, Ballack and Belletti are all worthy of mention, though. Pretty damn good game all around.

Can't say for sure as the stream was pretty jerky, I think Ashley is looking better and better though, Ivan done well again too but will watch the match later and vote then as we weren't under much pressure so voting for a defender seems odd.

I didn't really feel anyone excelled however I thought Lampard was just the pick of the bunch and Deco being on the bench seemd to give Frank more space to get forward into the positions where he can be more dangerous.

I also thought Drogba and Joe had above average games.

I didnt see the game, but its certainly a good sign that nobody can settle on a consensus choice for MOTM, as opposed to all the recent times everyone has given it to Cech because everyone was so terrible.

It makes me excited that Scolari put Drog/Anelka together up front, and left Joe on for almost the whole game, and both moves worked out well.

Alex or Ivanovic for me, both looked solid.

I voted for Drogba. I don't care how many goals Anelka has scored, he is not a patch on Didier.

After watching the highlights I Can't say if Ivanovic was as good as he came across on the stream, I think Ashley was a bit luckier with the Assist than it looked when I watched that,

Drogba's header was superb and he was a real handful while he was on but as he never played the whole match and on the highlights I will give my vote to Frank,

I think his control and finish was great and it looked like the old Drogba and Lamps out there.

as for the Drogba Anelka partnership, I would love to see it in a proper 4-4-2 where they are neare enough to each other to worry the life out of defenders.

I agree with Chippy I though Ivanovic and Ballack looked panicky throughout the game, though everyone played pretty well.

Joe Cole and Lamps definately stood out for me, Lamps tipped the scale for me because of the goal.

Bosingwa was doing great getting forward, maybe instead of getting another winger we just convert jose.

drogba, sorry your having a laugh, he played when he wanted to play, scored a great header, missed quite a few easy chances, started rolling around again, dropped to deep, then got taken off with a dead leg!!. This bloke frustrates the life out of me, and if we can sell him january then sell him. and bring in someone like heskey to do the job.
