We'll I'm paying some pretty useless scouts 10,000 a week to find me a decent winger and they've not come up with any yet, so I suppose it's only fair. Better yet I'll fire one of them and get you on board full time. How's your German?

Well I don't know many people who watch the Belgian league...so no, I hadn't heard of him before. What does that matter? I can't be expected to know all about every player in the world...
"Would be very happy if we signed him in Jan" - that's your quote, isn't it?
All I'm saying is, if you never saw him play and never even heard of him, how can you be happy or unhappy about our prospects of signing him?

Because I've seen a bit of him now and he looks good...
I'd never heard of Ramires either before we signed him, or plenty of other players over the years. Doesn't mean they don't turn out to be good players in the end.

Would be a good signing. Young and talented and not ridiculously overpriced.
Could turn out to be a gem.

Just had a look at a couple of youtube compilations of him and I'm still undecided. He looks alright, but I can't help thinking we could probably do better - any idea how much money he's likely to cost?

At that sort of price, he's probably worth a punt - he seems to have potential but looks quite raw, even in his highlight videos. I could see him being a similar sort of player to Bale; not too flashy, but can outrun pretty much anyone and has a decent shot when he gets near the goal.

£9m for a Bale type winger and £14m for a Drogba like striker on condition of loaning De Bruyne out for a season is an outrageously good bit of business. Both should qualify as home grown by 21 as well if I'm not mistaken.

Got to say I find most YouTube videos either boring or unconvincing (I mean, it's possible for even me to look good with enough footage!) but this guy really, really looks the real deal from that.
I haven't seen him play any full matches, but right now I'm pretty (very) excited about this prospect.
