Had an idea ..

So, say for example we lose to QPR at Loftus Road, get two players sent off, and there's an incident causing our skipper to lose his England captaincy and perhaps his England place.

I know I know, but imagine.

Now, the very next day, loads of QPR fans visit this site, for reasons best known to themselves. When I say "loads", obviously they haven't got "loads", but you know what I mean.

They start "trolling". I believe that's the correct term. And people (who really should know better) "bite", i.e. they "feed" the troll, and the troll gets what he or she was looking for.

Now, in such circumstances the mods will invariably ban said trolls, which can be a painstaking process I imagine, particularly if there are a few of them, and particularly if they keep coming back under different guises. This would demand constant scrutiny I imagine, to stop the boards going crazy.

Imagine if, rather than ban these trolls, the mods were able to make their posts invisible, i.e. they could keep posting to their heart's content but nobody (except themselves of course) could see their posts. That way, not only does it save the mods the trouble of having to keep looking out for them and banning them, but it also means the trolls waste their own time, unaware that their posts are invisible, hence they keep posting, keep trying to wind everyone up, and keep taking precious hours out of their day (I'm aware that they probably have a lot of time on their hands, but still, you get my drift).

It's certainly better than our current strategy of calling them 'cockmunchers' then acting all surprised when they get annoyed.

Here's the thing ..

Recently I was watching a stream.

Besides the stream there was some chat going on, basically morons slagging each other's clubs.

Suffice to say, on a Chelsea stream, there were a lot of oppos (scousers mainly) writing sh*t about us, so I started retorting, as you don't need to sign in for those things, you can be a guest. I started writing things like "Liverpool have no history" and "Arsenal are just a bunch of chavs". I'm ashamed to admit this but I found it amusing. Nothing scousers hate worse than someone who apparently thinks they lack history. Anyway, I digress. My observations soon started winding people up, so I kept on doing it, naturally. It was so much fun I missed the game. We won 3-2 apparently, but I digress. The point is, soon nobody was responding to me, or getting wound up at all, which seemed strange. It then dawned on me that everything I was writing was invisible to everyone but me, and I had been had somewhat. I know I hadn't been put on ignore by everyone, firstly because that would just be too unlikely, secondly because these imbeciles lacked the intelligence, and thirdly because there wasn't an ignore function.

I guess what I'm saying is this wasn't my idea and I'm not a genius after all.

Well this is a first for me. A thread with no posts.

I was watching a Stream the other day as well...I too started insulting people and found it somewhat satisfying...first off people started ignoring me, that was ok in itself and I carried on regardless until a big f**ker with a Fishing Rod threw me in.

Or we can show up at their forum and laugh at them when they get relegated

But, maybe, that will give them the significance they don't deserve...
