Its funny, I equate 120 million to being a Bale/ Ronaldo messi/ Neymar/ Mbappe type player. 120 million should by you elite, fully fledged player, not someone who two and half seasons ago was plying his trade in the championship. That’s how I see it. FWIW I think he is a very good player and I’m very happy with this signing. Other than the FFP angle the price isn’t that important to me, I’m more interested in getting value for money and quality players. Everyone laughed at Declan Rice’s price but let’s face it as much as most of us despise Arsenal he’s worth every penny. Also we’ve blown much more than £117m on players who haven’t provided value. Delap for £30m isn’t some sort of bargain, and we have wasted money on Garnacho and Gittens (£100m), all in the same transfer window, so if we buy someone like Morgan Rogers who I believe definitely improves us then I’m onboard with this signing. He is Villa’s best player and gobbling up other Premier League teams best players is how you improve your team, a tactic that has proven to work for decades.
