Jamie Gittens joins Chelsea
Gittens could have really done with a loan this season. Would have been better so send him to Strasbourg and kept Essugo.

Garnacho an unused sub again. Will be our problem again next summer. This seasons Harvey Elliot for Villa.

Good to see him finally get carded for encroaching outside of his box, has been doing it for so long In fact would guess that last season Arteta actually had more minutes on the pitch than Lavia.

Geovany Quenda
Assuming that we continue with Wing backs and the first choices will be Palestra/Chavarria, then there will be limited opportunities for the likes of Quenda unless we pick up injuries. Hopefully he gets a chance off the bench soon, or a start in the cup.

Agreed. I had a feeling we would start slowly this season in terms of results. A new manager with a new system, a chaotic transfer window, and with several key players unavailable. At least it has been quite entertaining to watch a lot of the time. Thankfully we have an extended international break coming up and hopefully that will provide some time to get key players fit and work on improving our defense. Caicedo should not be allowed to travel with Ecuador at any costs. He needs to fully recover, and we need him back to his best.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
I suspect that will happen once Palestra is fit enough to start.

Valentin Barco our Ginger Argentinian
He has some positives but he is pushed off the ball way too easily. Makes Estevao look like Granit Xhaka.

f**k Arsenal but at least we can laugh at the Spuds for not scoring goals in 4 games. Trash club

Any game recommendation?
Been on Ghost of Yotei for a while. Another game that’s fun to begin with but just becomes repetitive and feels dragged out.

This is the worst era. Arsenal are just on another level now. Too good defensively, really strong in midfield, have enough in attack to get the job done, a bit of sh*thousery. They don't have a superstar, but they don't need one, they're just a proper football team that click in all areas. Sickening really. They remind me of us under Mourinho. They don't need to blow teams away or play jaw dropping football, they're just perfectly balanced in all areas. If they ever did sign a genuine superstar that didn't have an ego that upset the dressing room, like a Hazard type of player, they would probably dominate and go on to win multiple Champions League titles. I could even see them winning it without one. I don't see any improvements in Europe that will stop them outside of PSG, but PSG can't win it every year.

I also think a lot more patience is needed. Alonso did well this summer to start to move us away from just signing kids and shipping out a lot of dross and bad fit players but we need two or probably three similar windows to try and fix this squad. We are looking far more effective going forwards (f**k me it has been a while since we could say that) but there is no doubt we have a lot of work to do to fix our defefensive capacity. I don't think we will ever do that with this squad of players which is why we need to be patient.

Well said. For some people on here there is no sense of perspective, no middle ground. They expect perfection from every player, every second of every game. You could have Maradona playing for us and the minute he missed a header, or lost a tackle they would be saying "he's sh*te". And if it is a player they personally dislike, they will criticise every minor error and will never, ever, under any circumstances, give any acknowledgement to anything they get right. IMO the only player today who was really poor in nearly everything he did was Gusto.

Arsenal annoyingly predictable. League over in September.

Hate to say it...but Lucky to only concede 2...☹️

Chelsea vs Hull City (PL) Saturday 12th September 15:00 GMT
At some point we’re going to have to bite the bullet and admit that James is not a midfielder and he should go back to shoring up the defence. It’s also clear that Gusto, Hato and Fofana are not our best defenders and I cannot for the life of me understand why they all started today. Our back three, if we’re going that route, should be James, Lacroix, Colwill.

Totally agree, he has a touch of JT about him, fights for every ball.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
It’s certainly Colwill’s last chance to show us he should be the partner for Lacroix. If he doesn’t improve his game massively at some point this season I can see us going after another CB next summer. It feels harsh to criticise Colwill this early in the season with him having been out for a year, but I am very disappointed with what I’ve seen so far.

Valentin Barco our Ginger Argentinian
Disagree, Barco frequently passes forwards.

Brentford vs Chelsea (PL) Friday 18th September 20:00 GMT
We haven't beaten them away since December 2021 when we scored twice in the last ten minutes (own goal + Jorginho penalty) to beat them in the League Cup. Another great BlueCo record. Thank God Tottenham are dogsh*t or Eghbali's head would be on a pike.

Seriously GO AND BUY DAN BALLARD

Valentin Barco our Ginger Argentinian
Belongs in a midfield 3, he's short ginger Jorginho with a better engine
-
Malo Gusto to Chelsea
We are so sh*t in squad building that he gets free rein to a starting spot.
-
Malo Gusto to Chelsea
He should be bungeed to within a few metres of the touchline somehow.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Well said @Deino

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
They are soft. Do they even do the extra work outside of mandatory team practices and drills?
