If you feel sorry for the little lady, bear in mind what you have to come up with to take your (ex) employer to an industrial tribunal in NORMAL work. The last government moved the goalposts. If you feel you've been "unfairly dismissed", you now have to come up with £1200, before you can even start a case. This will, of course, rule out most claims (even if justified), simply because they can't afford it. For you to compare poor Eva's situation to the man in the street is ridiculous

I think you're dead right with the word "confidence". When your team (insert sport here) has no confidence: 1) The slightest knock has a much larger effect than normal. 2) The goal (or target) is much smaller to you than normal. 3) It's so much easier for the opposition to unsettle you. 4) You lose any swagger. 5) You bicker amongst yourselves. We shouldn't under estimate the effect of the timing of Liverpool's equaliser. Not only was it 40 seconds after the whistle should have gone for half time, (and there were centre pitch opportunities to blow the whistle), but can you imagine the mood in the dressing room at half time?

I agree with you here. I have a Dipper FB friend, who was on the receiving end of banter over the Brendan stuff. He said, he thought Brendan was on the verge of a nervous breakdown when he finally left. I see that in José right now.

Fair point Chippy, but replacing Ivan with Zouma, and leaving Dave at LB has left us narrow, and no different in shape (even if Dave made our goal today)

I'm a huge José fan, but I think he's wrong criticising Hazard in public. He seems the type of guy who needs an arm around the shoulder, not a kick up the arse.

City were our saviour 2 years ago. Even though I live north of Manchester/Liverpool, I only get stick off Liverpool and Man Utd fans. The Everton fans I know, are pretty realistic. The City fans aren't as spiteful as Liverpool/United. If we can't win it, I'm ok with City winning it.

Sean Connery - Dr No for me. I also enjoyed Thunderball, but Never Say Never Again, was a mistake. Didn't like the Roger Moore era at all, too many puns and silly gimmicky enemies, although Live & Let Die had it's comedy moments. George Lazenby - OHMSS - My favourite Bond. He only lasted one film though, apparently his agent advised him against further films. Surely bad advice. Didn't bother with Dalton or Brosnan. Not watched any of theirs right through. Daniel Craig - Much more like it, learning from the Jason Bourne style. David Niven - Loved this spoof

I watched the game on & off on a Mobdro feed on my phone, while watching the telly with the wife. Every time I looked at the phone in the first half, one of our players would be doing a cartwheel in the air, after a Stoke 'challenge'. I couldn't believe they only had one booking in the first half
