Falcao to Chelsea?
Given the fact that Arsenal seem to be attempting to hijack our move for Remy, I'm tempted to say f**k it, give Falcao a shot. I'd rather him than Bony. Plenty of games to keep everybody happy.

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
I'd rather have Remy to be honest. I remember reading somewhere that Bony is around the 25 mil mark. He doesn't really have the same quality of finish as Remy does. Watching him tonight on match of the day. All his shots rocketed over the bar. He's a bit of a poacher and a "hit em and hope" kind of player outside or the box. We don't need a forward who spends majority of games hitting speculative efforts. We need someone with pace who gets in the box and gets into good positions. He strikes me as quite a lazy forward.

Diego Costa - The Real Deal
I'm impressed with what I'm seeing so far. I agree with everything the pundits on MOTD said earlier. He back tracks, clears corners, passes and scores goals!! A genuine forward, team player with a legend as a mentor. He is going to be a big hit I reckon. Though one thing that is pissing me off is referees are already targeting him and opposition are already winding him up.

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
I think Arsenal are just trying for the hell or it to be honest. They have enough strikers. If he does go to Arsenal, he won't get half as far in the CL as he would here. Plus he will only be number one until january when Giroud returns. So it would be really short sighted of him if he does go there. I really hope Jose has a plan here, because this is just added frustration. Two strikers won't cut it. Especially two strikers who have already both had minor injuries at the start of the season. Hoping for some good news, and I hope we massacre the Gooners at the Bridge and away at the Hemmorhoids stadium.

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
That would be absolute gold if that happens. Even funnier if Salah knocks one in aswell for measure.

Champions League Group Stage Draw 2014
As for the draw itself, very pleased with our group. Avoided the heavyweights. Though, I was REALLY hoping for Dortmund. Really want to see us play them some day. Never played them have we? Don't recall that ever doing so.

Champions League Group Stage Draw 2014
Can't recall the last competitive match we had with them. But I do recall playing them back in 97 (or 98) in a pre season mini tournament. Was the Umbro international I think. Can't remember the score, but I think we beat Everton in the final of it. Quite a long time ago now, so memory is a little hazy.

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
Very good point. Not exactly got the midfield creativity we now have. I think he'll be a good fit. Going to be nervous about the results of his medical tommorow.

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
Must admit, I did not see this coming either. Especially after Mourinhos comments earlier in the week claiming he was in his plans. I thought nothing of it when Milan stated their interest and thought we were going to be stuck with him for two years. I still have no clue what they see in him to warrant investing all that effort and cash to signing him for two years. They must clearly be desperate. (Not that I'm complaining).

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
This is true. Not a lot of strikers available at the moment. The ones I would list as my number one choice replacements are at clubs who do not want to sell them. Furthermore, they are outside of our price range perhaps due to the current inflated market. Not taking anything away from Remy, but he is the best option for us at this moment since Roma won't part with Destro. I would be very pleased indeed if we sign Remy. Would conclude an absolutely incredible summer of transfers.

Remy in TORRES TO MILAN
I must say, I had a few beers this evening in celebration of the lifting of the Torres no scorres curse. I must admit, I'm onboard for Remy. He would be a decent 2nd option. I would feel a LOT more confident with him up front than I ever have with Torres.

Do we still need another striker?
This is what worries me

Chelsea vs Leicester (PL) 23/08/14 KO 15:00 BST
Of the 3 promoted teams, Leicester are by far the most competent. I'm happy to get this one out the way early as someone mentioned above because Leicester can be a sod to play against. I think it will be a nervy 2 nil. One goal early in the first half and another at around the 75 minute mark to close off the match. Potential banana skin for us here. We should approach this match with respect and not get complacent. This is definitely not "just another promoted team". And welcome to the Leicester fans. Always nice to see supporters of other clubs enter into a convo without being all tribal and insulting. Was quite a massive margin you lads won the championship by last season. Really took it by the scruff of the neck.

Do we still need another striker?
No. Nothing said. I have been catching up on all the speculation every morning over a cup of coffee and at no point has Eto'o been mentioned. Not even once in jest. He burned his bridges here so spectacularly that not even gutter tabloids are entertaining the possibility.
-
Petr Cech to Real Madrid
Exactly. Still have our hands tied when it comes to purchasing foreign players. We're done for this window I think. Even if Cech departs, that just puts us on point. Beyond that, we have to let somebody else go. The only player I would like to go, is a stubborn splinter that refuses to come out and I think everybody can guess who I'm talking about here. There will be no new players coming in it seems. At least in this window.
-
Do we still need another striker?
Even still, I cannot see Eto'o making a return. He's burned his bridges at this club, especially with Jose, and I did hear some speculation that Roman wasn't best impressed with him and wasnt all that bothered to see him go. The Destro deal appears to be bullsh*t now as his agent appears to have all but ruled it out. So we're now stuck with waste of space Torres again. He is literally the worst buy in Chelsea history, and I thought Chris Sutton was an incredibly poor decision. Says it all really.
-
Torres to Atletico Madrid ?!?!
Getting the hump with this Torres situation now. He's like an irremovable splinter that's embedded deep into the fabric of the club. He should just be shoved into the reserves while we buy a proper backup striker. Really hammer home the message that he is no longer wanted by anybody within the club.
-
Do we still need another striker?
Well.... That's a no brainer if I ever saw one. Keep him for the season and f**k Torres off to the reserves for the season. If that doesn't make him f**k off, I don't know what will.
-
Torres to Atletico Madrid ?!?!
If all this is true then ... f**ks sake.
-
Schurrle not? 25mil to Atlético
We would be absolutely stupid to let Marin leave on a permanent basis.
-
Do we still need another striker?
Too late. He's already gone on loan hasn't he?
-
Torres to Atletico Madrid ?!?!
On the contrary. I'd like to see some dignity returned to our number 9 shirt. Give Destro the shirt and let him restore some pride in it.
-
Do we still need another striker?
After all the childish nonsense Eto'o spoke about Mourinho, I don't want him back. Personally, I hope he ends up without a club. Because you cannot talk about your former bosses like this after leaving every club the way he does. The way he kicked up a stink over money and playing a big part in his team not boarding the plane before the world cup didn't help him much either. I dont think players should be paid for internationals anyway. Its an honour to represent your country. Surely this should be more than enough? Players who behave so disrespectful build a reputation and eventually nobody wants to work with them anymore. I see this as the case for Eto'o. A club would have picked him up by now if he was really wanted. I think the proposed Torres/Destro swap would be perfect. 13 goals in 20 appearances Destro racked up last season. That ratio is better than Torres has had as far as I can remember.

Petr Cech to Real Madrid
Not only that but from what I understand, Di Maria doesn't like Jose....
-
Petr Cech to Real Madrid
That is the last thing we need, another midfielder. This is why I hope we don't go for Carvalho either. Not needed. We are over saturated in this position.
