  1. Yeah, this is what bothers me. The fact that he's almost resigned to the fact that he is crap and just running down the last two years of his contract because he knows he won't get better anywhere else. If he does stay out his contract, it won't do his career any favours at all. I can see us eventually booing him. Please, please, PLEASE let this Destro link be true. Sod a loan, let them keep him with no transfer fee and pay a portion of his wages for two years just to get rid. Platinum would be more fitting for such a noble service to the club.

I like the away kit best this season. I love the collar on it. Looks proper smart. I love the darker more traditional royal blue home jersey aswell. Love the stripes. A good omen, as we all know what happened last time we had stripes on our home kit. The 3rd kit I absolutely detested when I first saw it. Looked like a bad night in Ibiza. But its gradually grown on me. Especially since my trip to the megastore where I got to see it close up. The shirt is light as a feather aswell so should be comfortable to wear. Not bought either of the 3 yet as I'm absolutely skint at the minute. Though I will be treating myself to one of the new training tops on Monday. Didn't like the light blue at first either as it reminded me of citeh. But seeing the players wearing it has helped it grow on me.
  3. I am definitely of the opinion that we need another striker. Although not absolutely necessary, another defender may be a wise investment aswell. Wouldn't call that as much of an emergency as our striking situation though. Drogbas ankle injury had my heart in my throat. Especially when all the talk of him being out for 4-6 months was circulating. Thankfully that wasn't true but it makes me wonder if its going to be a recurring problem through the season. We can't expect Costa to play every game of the season. He needs some respite. Goes without saying, I would not be confident with Torres up front. We need Remy or Destro. Two best options. Take your pick of either and I'd be happy with that.
  4. From what I've read, Jose is keen to get rid of Nando and he will try to unsettle him by not selecting him over the remaining weeks of the transfer window. I hope this is the case and we finally get rid of the curse of the Torres. I would literally pop open a bottle of champers if that happens and we land Destro or Remy as a more firm backup.
  5. I too have a soft spot for Atletico. They remind me of us quite a bit. An underdog club on the rise. I would hate to lose Schürrle to anyone though. Including Atletico. He proved on Monday what a valuable member of the squad he is, even if the ball was practically delivered straight to his boot (still amazed at the sheer quality of that pass). But his positioning was spot on and he had a terrific world cup. Many clubs would have cashed in but I hope we refrain from doing so. I hope to see him more prominently used this season. He's a much better option to Salah and Willian. Used with Hazard and Oscar in the middle, that is a pretty formidable top 3. Reason we suffered in midfield last season is because we had no direction or finish. With Cesc orchestrating that midfield and Costa's golden touch, I think those problems are solved.
  6. Cant see him going to Real to be honest. If he leaves it'll be because he has stiff competition for the number one jersey here. If that's the case, why would he go somewhere with two great keepers? (I don't rate Casillas). Sadly, I do think Petr will leave. If not in this window, definitely January. I'd hate to see him go to be honest. He's been a huge part of the club for over a decade and bar a couple of mistakes last season (namely the 3rd PSG goal at PDP) he had a solid season. BUT, we must be thinking of the future and if keeping Petr means losing Courtois, we can't let that happen. We'll strongly regret losing Courtois a lot more. Personally, I see him going to moneybags Monaco. PSG are focusing on Di Maria and with the sting of FFP sanctions on their minds, they can't have both.
  7. 1 nil? I want something along the lines of the mauling we gave Arsenal at the bridge last season with Costa getting a hat trick, Fabregas and Torres (i want him to finally pull his finger out) getting on the score sheet. Give them a nice welcome to the premiership. I know there's a difference between wanting and seeing results. But we must aim high.
  8. Basically, Burnley fans must be shifting a brick or two if they watched this. We are looking clinical with these new signings and players having a much welcomed break.
  9. I see no reason why this man should apologise for playing well against us last season. He was giving his all for the club he was playing for. Anybody who bears a grudge over that is an idiot. I've been very impressed with his pre season. I can definitely see him smashing them in left and right in the season. We could have a golden boot contender here. A serious one at that.
  10. Oh I'm expecting it too. He's a little boy with a sh*t attitude. I expect nothing more from him.
  11. I agree with you Scott. Ignore Peter Sage. I don't know what there is to disagree with but I'm tempted to ask what the weather is like where his head is.
  12. Yeah. Couldn't have said it better. An absolutely arrogant little boy with a crap attitude. I would have thought after the lousy world cup he had that he would have reeled his neck in a bit and realised that he isn't as big as he thought, but no. I hope he flops. He needs to be brought back to earth because his inflated ego has him hovering waaaaaay above the clouds. Or maybe he wants to be the big fish in the little pond because he knows he's not good enough to compete for a spot here...
  13. I'm hoping there is a plan because I'm not comfortable with our current striking depth as it stands. Furthermore, I hear its only one foreign national we were over by...
  14. We can still do business. Lukaku counts as a foreign national, so we would now be compliant with UEFAs limit on foreign nationals in a squad. But if we sell Cech, Mikel or Torrid we'll have space to get a decent striker to bolster our line. As much as I love Cech, I see us having to offload him to make way for a new striker because Torrid is going to stay til the last day of his contract. You cannot keep two world class keepers happy for long and if anything, we need to think for the future and Courtois is our future in goal.
  15. You have forgotten to mention the 43 or so million that we received from UEFA for our Champions League performances and television rights from last season. So with the added 28.5 mil from the sale of the gutless egotistical Lukaku, this pushes us nearer the 70 mil bracket give or take a mil or two.
  16. Great.... We may have just funded the transfer of one of our own targets since Citeh aren't looking to offload Negredo.
  17. Another player I would hate to see Utd land is Robben... I would prefer we land Pogba, but I can't see it personally. I have read plenty saying that he will be staying put next season. At least until the January window. We would be best served keeping Utds grubby MIT's off of all 3 of these players. Especially if the Robben talk is to be believed. I actually don't want Robben anywhere near the Premier league next season. Especially with his current diving antics. He'll be the new Suarez... always on his arse in the box with his arms up.
  18. Just to make this perfectly clear, I have no problem with people who prefer not to wear Chelsea shirts. As you say, everybody is entitled to their opinion. But to insult somebody for wearing them, calling them pathetic and childish, this I take issue with. Why should I turn the other cheek and allow some obnoxious windup have a pop at me for my choice of clothing? But anyways, its done as far as I'm concerned. Moving on.....
  19. Exactly. He was literally just being obnoxious for the sake of it. The fact that he implied I was a homosexual based on my avatar proved that. At any rate, I've moved on and looking to get back on topic.
  20. 100% agreed!!! You cannot possibly have a conversation or debate with these people. Then when they realise that they cannot respond with a logical, well constructed argument, that's where the word twisting and name calling starts. I think we're all better off simply ignoring him to be honest.
  21. Must be. I can't find anything but speculative posts about Munich demanding 20 mil for him from Arsenal. No announcement like was mentioned. Unless the agent is playing it clever to see how much hype it draws. I'd rather know sooner rather than later. If we don't get him, I'd rather he went to Wolfsburg. Would hate to see such a quality striker go to Arsenal as that could be a difference maker for their squad next season. We definitely need at least another top notch striker in case Costa gets hurt during the season (which I hope not) and maybe a less expensive third option.
  22. And also, you implied that I was a homosexual male in an attempt to insult me. So I'm not the only one who is guilty of hurling insults here.
  23. Glad somebody agrees at how sad that comment was. Just grasping at straws because he didn't have a valid response. Being highlighted as a Chelsea fan and appreciating a player is one of the bigger reasons I get shirts. I am proud to be a Chelsea fan and I am also proud to show support for players. The whole "when I grow up I want to be just like so and so" comment he came out with was laughable too wasn't it. I am older than every Chelsea player bar Mark Schwarzer. Furthermore, I stopped aspiring to be a footballer at age 15 when I realised that I wasn't good enough. Life goes on... Well said. As I told him in one of my earlier replies, it is nobodies business but their own if they choose to wear shirts or not. I'm not going to dig at somebody because they don't have the latest kits, but I'll have plenty to say to those who dig at others for wearing them. Then he wonders why I called him a c**t.... You called people pathetic.... Selective memory? And yes I did call you a c**t. That's what happens when you behave like one. Don't like it, then try engaging people in a respectful way and accept the fact that not everybody conforms to or agrees with your conservative and bleak opinions on how a man should dress.
  24. Actually looking at The Last Of Us remastered. How big is the game? Gameplay good?
  25. Hahahahaha that pic is amazing. What I meant is that we should not be relying on our centre backs for aerial attack. Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic usually only score in the air at set pieces. We need somebody who is able to strike in the air in play. Lukaku is looking more and more unlikely to stay, how many times did Oscar score from the air? Schürrle is a fair point. We need another striker who is confident in the air for an all round attack. Mandzukic is lethal in the box and has great positioning. Plus his work rate is good too. We would be silly to not try and watch him go to either Arsenal or Wolfsburg.
