It's weird, I don't even care about this game tonight, not worried at all. /rocks back and forth nervously

Our attacking options
Well, yeah - that was my point :) Don't think I've ever heard Drogba being called 'Drugolyzer' before by the way!

Barcelona v Chelsea (CL SF 2nd Leg) 24/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
Don't think we can read too much into these things, in the first leg the referee's wife was from Catalonia, and his son is part of the Barcelona youth setup, I believe... and he did a good job

Our attacking options
We have a very congested fixture list coming up, and every game is frankly massive (CL semi final, FA cup final, four absolutely huge league games, potential CL final) and I have to say, after Saturday I'm pretty worried... Drogba - has been back to his best in Champions League games this season, and as a result absolutely has to start tomorrow, and also in the final if we make it. Very unlikely he'll be fit to play every game. Mata - absolutely instrumental for us this season, but has been showing signs of fatigue lately (he was very ineffective against Barcelona, although we hardly saw the ball so that's not too surprising) - should still be included in the starting XI whenever possible, although recently he has been played in a more central role, and not as one of the front three. Sturridge - to say he's regressed would be a massive understatement. People won't like me saying this, and I don't like saying this myself, but it's almost like he's now playing with arrogance and apathy rather than the confidence and determination we saw earlier in the season. He needs to sort himself out, else I can't see him being here next season, such a shame. Torres - I've been a huge supporter of Torres (both on here, and at the few games I've been to this season) but damn did he ever look lethargic against Arsenal - his worst performance of the season for us by far, looking completely disinterested, at a time when he really had a chance (and a full 90 minutes) to prove himself in a huge match. Kalou - love the fella, never stops trying, but often looks lacking, bless him. For effort alone, I'd be tempted to have him in the team above certain others. He does have a knack of being in the right place at the right time too, so can be just as effective as he is frustrating. Fantastic squad player (potentially more than that right now) and I hope he stays with us. Malouda - consistently mediocre. He can be frustrating at times, and also fairly single minded when he has even a glimpse of the goal, and he's very one footed. From what I've wrote there he basically sounds like a slightly better version of Sturridge. Puts in a shift and could be useful for us though. Ramires - love love love this guy, but playing him as one of the front three (either on the left or right) can leave us lacking in midfield. His attitude is spot on, and as a result I'd play him for every single minute of every single game until the end of the season if he's up to it. Lukaku - still an unknown quantity, but did look promising in the games he played near the end of AVB's reign. I think the remaining matches are too important to give him a run out unfortunately, but Robbie did get Romeu a chance, and I honestly don't think it'd be possible for Lukaku to have had a worse impact on the Arsenal game than Sturridge and Torres did. Looking at those, if you had to pick three it'd probably be Mata, Drogba and Ramires. The problem is they cannot play every game, and also having Mata/Ramires further forward may leave us slightly lacking in midfield. Thoughts?

I'm apprehensive, of course, and a little worried. But I'm still very excited.

Arsenal vs Chelsea (PL) 21/04/12 KO: 12:45 BST
I'd put today's game up there with those two tbh, we looked so lacklustre today it was unbelievable, very frustrating game today

Nope. As much as I'd love to finish above Tottenham, finishing 5th would still feel like a massive disappointment for me

Here's hoping for the usual fiery El Clasico second half too...

Looking at the league table now, god, what a missed opportunity. Gutted.

Going to be an incredibly interesting end to the season, Tottenham have relatively easy fixtures (although they're playing two teams battling relegation) but are playing very poorly at the moment, Newcastle on the other hand are playing well but have some very tough fixtures. Saying that, we have to play QPR, Newcastle, Liverpool and Blackburn - if we can win all four I think we'll definitely get fourth, but it's not going to be easy.

Hopefully Robbie is taking notes!

I'd normally agree with you, but today he looked utterly uninterested, like he knows he's dropped behind Drogba now and has no intention of fighting for his place again. Kalou was very poor, and incredibly wasteful, but at the very least he looked like he wanted it. Sturridge, sadly, was the worse of both.

Um, the mobile version of the site does odd things when quoting/editing :(

what's more ridiculous is how those players, with a real point to prove, looked like they couldn't give a f**k Torres, Kalou and Sturridge all played as badly as I've seen them all season

By far the most frustrating game for us under Robbie - incredibly lacklustre, very wasteful going forward, aghhhhh

Can't wait for this season to end
The interviewer basically asked him if it would be his last Champions League game at the Bridge and he just kinda laughed it off, saying "Ohh... haha... I always get asked this question" etc

Lukaka Loan
That's a bit harsh, he seems like a good lad, works his socks off and has been very important in Wigan's superb run recently.Agreed that Lukaku would benefit greatly form a season long loan - guy has bags of potential and physically (in terms of pace and power) he certainly looks like he could be very handy for us... and if a loan deal does help secure another player like Moses, well I think there would be a lot of happy Chelsea fans :)

If that's the case, let's hope he gets a couple of cups this season to send him off!

MOTM vs Barcelona (H)
Cole for me too - he was simply immense last night, and did not stop running all game (though neither did Ramires and even Miereles to be fair) and his positioning was superb too, clearing one off the line and I believe would've cleared the shot right at the death had it been on target too, although Cech, Terry and Cahill were immense as well. To be fair there were loads of great performances last night, my girlfriend just said "it's not the kind of game you can easily pick a man of the match, they were all so good!" which is about right...
