To say both players lost their way towards the end of the season would be an understatement, but I still have really high hopes for them - they have massive potential and I hope they can fulfil that potential here.

Um, how would £5m less than what they paid be a reasonable price? Short contract or not, he has been absolutely amazing for them, and is now proven in one of the best leagues in the world. £15m would be reasonable. £10m would be an absolute bargain.

For me it's a bit like QPR - they are irrelevant, but it's still funny to laugh at their misfortune.

Earls Court would be good for selfish reasons, since it's more convenient on the tube ;) A lot of people are saying how we need to get something that isn't like that awful Emirates stadium, I'm sorry, what? It's a great stadium, and its huge, meaning it'd be easier for many of us to get tickets, not to mention prices may be lowered to try and fill it. Also, it doesn't have to look like that, there's no reason we couldn't go for something really unique and different, Bayern Munich's stadium for example is utterly stunning, although my opinion of the stadium is probably swayed by what we did there ;)

Christian Eriksen is amazing, but I seem to remember him bad mouthing us to the press a couple of years ago, so we have no chance of getting him. Ben Arfa is amazing, but troubled, and maybe a little lightweight. Hulk is perfect for us. I'd absolutely love it if we signed him. Ramires, Luiz, Hulk, Piazon - awesome.

A real shame, but as Zola said, the cost of this stadium probably would've been close to £1bn when you consider everything. Ah, the joys of trying to develop a massive stadium in a convenient, iconic spot in London...

Yes you can, no I don't. Same reasons as mentioned above; I couldn't bring myself to cheer on the likes of Gerrard, and I hate the way the England 'fans' treat our players.

The more I read about this, the more depressed I get. Seeing Rodgers holding a Liverpool scarf above his head is actually quite sickening. He's a great manager, and I think in time he will get Liverpool playing good football at a high level (top 4, with time) - but then the same could've been said about Hodgson. Let's just hope the Best Fans in the Worldâ„¢ give Rodgers a similar treatment, shame as he deserves so much better.

I see lots of people in the other Torres thread playing down his goal, saying it was average, lucky, whatever - the most important thing about that goal for me is that it shows he's got his confidence back. That's the kind of header you wouldn't even attempt unless you had some confidence.
