Yup, often buy tickets for me and my girlfriend (on my membership plus a friends) but snagged another couple for my parents for the FA cup semi final last season (what a game to go to!!!)

Buy promising players, hope they come good, if they don't, buy more players.

To be honest, like jack, I'm very unsure about the forthcoming season - City have an amazing squad and genuinely quite frightening attacking options. United forced City to the very last game and have strengthened considerably with just a couple of signings, I think Lucas and Kagawa will be absolutely fantastic for them next season. And then there's us. I believe that based on our time with Robbie last season, even without new signings we would fairly comfortably finish in the top 3. Tottenham won't be the same without Harry, Arsenal will be significantly weakened without RVP and I don't believe Newcastle are capable of matching last season. Drogba will be a massive loss for us, but Torres was once regarded as the best in the world and now without anything holding him back, and with some extra creativity in the form of Hazard, Marin and potentially Oscar I think he can achieve that status once again, the guy is just class. I think the top three will be very close this season, with Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle being quite far off the pace.

Sorry, but who the hell is Dani? Are you on about Sturridge? (edit) I agree that we don't need any more central attacking midfielders though, especially if we get Oscar.

I don't think that means the saga is over at all tbh, maybe I'm just being optimistic/hopeful, but it seems he's keen on a move and has come out and publicly said that now... really think this is far from over

Ramires' goal was undoubtedly the most important goal - we were pretty much out of the tie when he sprinted the entire length of the pitch to score that beautiful chip, but we were still a man down, we still had a very makeshift defence, and we were still playing against a fantastic team that had a ridiculous amount of possession. Torres' goal on the other hand was all about the sense of relief, having been absolutely battered and stuck in our own half for 50 minutes, the feeling when he scored that goal was just amazing, knowing that we'd actually done it. Amazing.

I hate him, and I hate his voice, but his reactions to our games in the Champions League last season were f**king fantastic. Loved how much passion he showed, loved how he put club rivalry aside, and loved how much he clearly wanted Chelsea to win. Has anyone got a clip of just after Drogba scored the winning penalty? When he completely lost it, said loads of random words and ended just saying "Football!" I swear he also said English football doesn't get any better than this, pretty decent of him to say considering he's a Manc.

There should be no backlash to Anton because of this. It's important we remain dignified - during the entire process, including the trial, he never once said JT said what he was alleged to have said, purely because (like anyone else that was there) he didn't actually hear him say that. All of this came about thanks to one twat reporting it on after seeing a dodgy 5 second clip on YouTube, so no fault IMO lies with Anton. Yes, he could have came out earlier and said "He didn't call me that" but based on this trial he wasn't actually sure what he said. Rio on the other hand is almost fair game, his sly public assaults on Terry were completely unfounded and necessary, plus he's a c**t.

Couldn't have said it better stevo! Be careful what you say EHCFC, I think we have an absolute gem in Hazard and can't wait to see him play for us, but similarly Kagawa is going to be an amazing signing for United, and if I'm honest I'm looking forward to seeing him play on a regular basis too.

We would have had to rely on both Arsenal and Spurs slipping up though (which they didn't) - we finished 5 points off fourth, so ultimately the Liverpool game was meaningless. I know it wasn't meaningless at the time, but Robbie had to make a decision - go all out in the league and hope the three teams above us slipped up, or go all out in the biggest cup final we've ever had, which would result in the same outcome as finishing fourth and a whole lot more. Hindsight I know, but I'm very glad Robbie made the decision he did...

That kind of attitude could really bite you on the ass. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed to see him going to Liverpool, I liked the lad when he was here and have followed him a bit since he went to Roma, but have to say I really hope he fails miserably for Liverpool.
