1) Ivanovic/Ramires - consistently awesome 2) Mata - offered something different and settled in brilliantly, absolute class 3) Drogba - an absolute beast when it mattered 4) Terry/Cech/Cole/Lampard - solid and reliable as ever 5) Luiz/Mikel - completely turned their seasons around once AVB left Honourable mention for Cahill & Sturridge - put them together and you get a whole seasons worth of top performances! (sorry, but I couldn't just pick 5!)

Yes, those same players who went on to win the f**king CL (!!!!!) and the FA Cup. It was all their fault. It amazes people that people are still so naive to think AVB was anything other than absolute disaster for this club; his ego, his arrogance, his unwillingness to be flexible in anyway whatsoever, and the way he treated the players and staff could have really cost us.

Amazing how we're linked with some fantastic players (Fellani, Dempsey, even Moses) that people instantly disregard because they play for teams lower than us in the league and are over the age of 21. Last season Dempsey got 23 goals for Fulham and is still the right side of 30, I don't understand why people don't think he couldn't do a job for us...

Moses has been brilliant all season. Just because you didn't see him playing until the last couple of months doesn't mean he wasn't doing a great job before that.

I see Rodgers is already working on his Liverpool conspiratorial victim complex: "I believed playing football would be most important to him (Sigurdsson) but obviously it was important financially".

Fed up of reading people saying "He's a great guy, hope he does well" etc etc This guy completely destroyed our dressing room. Our players weren't enjoying the game any more, they saw their friends and colleagues treated like absolutely sh*t by an egotistical, arrogant, stubborn manager and frankly if he does a Ramos and Spurs get relegated because of him, I'd be over the bloody moon. (edit) Sigurdsson is a great player, honestly I'm almost a little disappointed we didn't go in for him ourselves, but they're going to have to do a hell of a lot more to replace the void left by Modric, VdV and Adebayor

Interesting to hear this backlash, I heard a similar thing from a source inside the club (who also all but confirmed the Hazard move long before it was confirmed by Hazard himself on Twitter) but didn't post anything for fear of the reaction on here, seems like a lot of people here really want Hulk and don't appreciate hearing that it may not happen (by the way, I was told this very shortly after the CL win regarding Hulk, that it probably won't happen, so the situation could have changed drastically now)

There's only one Juan Mata! I know it Torres took the goalkeeper out of the equation, and I know Italy looked absolutely broken by the time he scored, but he still took his goal brilliantly IMO, it was behind him and he had a player bearing down on him, but still put it away with a very cool finish - not bad considering it was in his first few minutes of the tournament!

And honestly, I'd still tell them to f**k off
