Could say the same about Chelsea. I wouldn't be saying anything till Chelsea have played City who are the best team in the league. City had the first half but then Utd should of had a pen and city red card which would of changed the game dramatically. Your response is abit over the top.

Preferred Centre Back Pairing?
That 04/05 as a whole I rank as the best team in the premier league ever. Might be biased but the amount of stats that team rolled up together with most amount of points 95 and only conceding 15 is unbelievable. Don't get me wrong it didn't have some names which people would think was star studded like Duff and Tiago but that team was so efficient and was a winning machine. JT and Ricky for me. Both world class defenders.

Preferred Centre Back Pairing?
Terry and Zouma. Zouma is Chelsea's best CB for the future and there's no one better to learn off than Terry, it might also be Terry's last season plus he is currently Chelsea's best CB so he has to play. Pair Zouma with Luiz and its suicide, I can only see it making Zouma worse than better. The post about not being beaten physically well Luiz would get beaten by every big forward, not like Terry. And ghosting past them, well watching City they will have a fun day against Luiz.

City has in general, what do you expect? Utd to roll over at home?

Tbh it wasn't a great idea to put him in for his first start in the Derby. Rashford or Mata would of been a better choice. Plus Fellani in midfield doesn't go.

Playing against City you can't have Fellani in the middle, his too slow and laboured.

What a composed finish by KDB, top draw player

David Luiz back at Chelsea
If that's what you reckon. Cahill is a better defender than Luiz, to perform over a whole season and win the premiership you have to be a good defender. Cahill might not be as good now but I am talking about in his peak.

Ivanovic - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Your right for some reason Ivan has always let crosses come in to easy and his obsessed with putting his hands behind his back in or outside the box. In his prime he was a good defender, his just always been useless and very frustrating when crossing the ball.

David Luiz back at Chelsea
I judge Luiz on his time at Chelsea and he was a liability who had to be moved to midfield for his and Chelsea's own good. The 50m if that's true what Chelsea got for him is one of the best deals ever in football. I don't really judge his time in French football where it's a weak league and Luiz plays in the best team by far. PSG would fight it out for the prem let alone win the Ligue 1 by 31 points. I hope his improved as a player and Conte can knock some sense into him.

Ivanovic - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
You mean at CB? There's no way Ivan should be in the first team. Squad player at most and we should be looking to the future now.

It's pretty simple, those CBs you have mentioned are all world class and a league ahead of Luiz. That's football. Yes all players make mistakes in football here and there. Sometimes Ageuro might miss a sitter. With Luiz he goes into a game either scoring a 30 yard free kick or an own goal.

A premier league at its weakest is still stronger than a French League at its strongest. There's no comparison ever so it's pointless.

It's the competitive level as a whole not just at the top. That's what makes the premiership the most competitive league in the world. It doesn't have the best overall teams though. Im not getting into a debate about the 90s and how competitive the league was, it's way of topic.

Now comparing the premier league to ligue 1. That's where I am out, just can't be bothered. Isnt the premier league record for conceding over a season 15 goals by Chelsea. That record compared to PSG in ligue 1 where they won the league by 31 points and scored over 100 goals is over 20 times the accomplishment at least.

Not ignoring them but playing for Brazil is totally different to a season in the premier league. Also winning the French league in a PSG team which was probably better than most in Europe in not a very competitive league doesn't make me go wow. Yes the competitions while playing for Chelsea but not really for PSG. It's like saying Scott Sinclair is a great player because his started scoring for Celtic. Again what does that prove. More signings from Italy might of been a success in Germany and Spain than from France. It's an opinion. It also can be down to the players attitude, the club, the manager, homesick. Lots of variables to whether a player is successful in another league than just ability

Like that team a lot.

You can't really use cup competitions as measuring sticks because sometimes it's all about the luck of the draw. Well at least we know now Luiz is a top defender because he has played in Ligue 1, got charisma and puts in lots of effort. Why you using lower league teams against higher placed ligue 1 teams? Look at the table now Angers, Lorient and Nancy. All on 0 points from 3 games. There really is no point in talking about the last 15 years. PSG have the money, finances and will continue to win the league for many years. No teams can stop them. The past means nothing.

Doesn't make sense, there's good players in every league

Overall the Italian league is better then the French. You can't make the French league sound better than it is just to make Luiz sound like a good defender. Luiz has good charisma, runs and has played in the French league. We are nearly getting to his defensive abilities ;)
