The only way he's not getting picked is if he picks up an injury. And even then, he'll still be playing with crutches. 

He may be back to his best today, you know.

That was my first thought but we all know he's not going anywhere near the right side of defence.

Agreed with the Aina comment above. Borthwick-Jackson did a good job for Utd last year, no reason Ola can't do the same.

Not all of them are celebrating his injury per se, a lot were just sick of him starting every week undeservedly IMO.  Legend at the club, but time is definitely up.

 

And this is perfect for us to see Aina shine.

 

Nobody was wishing death upon Ivanovic or hoping he'd never walk again or kick a ball again (bar the odd c**t, admittedly) but most,  they just didnt want him in the team.  Have to admit though, unless he got injured he was never getting dropped.  Think we all agree with that

He really doesn't though, bad-branna is truly terrible. Like, worse than Bad-Baba level. Branna v Swansea always sticks out in my mind.

 

Aina has looked comfortable always except for the occasional poor touch. Strong in a tackle and offers up the other end of the pitch. 

Be nice for Aina but realistically he will be doing well if he's part of the squad this season.

Not sure about that, Aina looks quality at RB and LB.

There's nothing wrong with Ivan at the moment, he's back to his normal performance level, he was never great at crossing. I think 'Groundhog day' is over.
