Oscar - Little Diamond
You can't have too many players in one team who have work rate as there biggest asset. Willian and Oscar come to mind and there's only usually space for one. That's why Fabregas should be in the team.

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Being in the box for crosses is all about taking a chance and patience. If Costa did less running down the wings and making average defenders look like superstars with his skillfull dribbling ;) It works both ways, I have never seen Costa get in the box that much so maybe that's why players don't cross the ball. It also takes patience and less touches of the ball which I don't think Costa has, he needs to always be involved or he sulks.

It was a booking all day long, pretty simple decision.

Cesc Fabregas
Well in 05 we had Robben/Duff and lampard/Eidur backing them up. Without Fab we have Hazard/Willian and Oscar. There's no way I think the current players are better than in 05 apart from Hazard so if he gets injured we will lack creativity badly. I can't see why playing Fab with Matic and Kante won't work. 2 players and also Willian doing the leg work more than covers Fab. What Fab brings you going forward is more than worth it.

Cesc Fabregas
I was comparing Duff and Robben to WilliaN and Oscar who had much more creativity about them. Ridiculously more dangerous and better to watch Lampard doesn't exactly lack creativity and that team worked a dream.

Cesc Fabregas
Robben and Duff was much more creative than William and Oscar. They had much more pace, skill and scored and created many goals. In those 2 years Chelsea won the league they was superb. William and Oscar had nothing on them.

The same question how does it not make any difference if someone has all there shots from 3 yrds to someone who might have all there shots just inside the box? Or someone who has all tap ins to someone who has difficult angle shots. None of this is taken into consideration with those stats. So to just say well this shows this so it has to be true is like someone who has never watched a football match. Also Aguero might have more shots because he makes those chances for himself or because he try's different type of shots like hitting the ball first time. Tbh if Costa spent more time in the box specially when Mourinho was there last season he could of had more shots. Costa is a good player but not on Agueros level, his the best in the premiership at the moment.

That's what you reckon, nothing else matters. Amount of games? Kind of shots etc
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
So now we know if a forward has 1 shot all season and gets it on target he is officially the best finisher in the prem.

Nah

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
So Aguero is the better striker then lolI thought your stats started from 2014?
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
What ifs because your stats never show the bigger picture. What does Costas look like compared to Ronaldo? What would you think if your stats said all Costas shots was from 3 yrds but all ageuros was just from inside the box? That's what those stats don't show, they just suit your theory Costa is the best.
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Haha that is something Costa does give Chelsea like Drogba before. Strong in both set pieces situations.

You live in a dreamworld. Aguero is currently the best striker in premiership. You won't find many people who debate that. Stats don't really mean anything without looking at how a forward plays? Does Aguero run around the wing giving the ball away nearly everytime? What if Aguero shots was just inside the box and Cost shots was from 6 yrds. Your stats mean nothing because it doesn't describe the kind of shot or opportunity involved. What if all Costas was one on ones and tap ins for example then you would expect his conversion rate to be better.

Cesc Fabregas
Rumours are he has been offered to Madrid and Barca but Madrid are full of midfielders anyway.
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Are you able to break those stats down? Who has how many shots? The distance those shots was taken at?
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
And where was Costa in lasts years scoring charts? Look it was a great goal but let's not over exaggerate it as his not the best finisher in the prem. It's not like it's a bad thing with Aguero and Kane.

Cesc Fabregas
I would be gutted if we lost Fab and kept Oscar. Fab has proven how good of a player he is for many years now. If you need someone to create something out of nothing Fab is your man, specially when teams really sit back. if Chelsea are going to keep Costa up front I think it helps his game to have Fab in the team.
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Well your wrong, the stats don't back it up. Check the leading goalscorers table for last year ;)

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Sometimes though with the constant running down the wings it gives the midfielders a lack of option going forward when they want the ball to stick and have to go backwards. Great goal but Costa keeps going wide and just running into defenders and then it gives the ball away. Costa would be better waiting in and around the box for opportunities.

You wish the best lol

Cesc Fabregas
Chelsea missed Fab's vision and creativity tonight and didn't create any clear cut chances. There's no other player in the squad who can pick a pass like him and not even coming on when the score was 1-1 and having Moses and Pedro picked over you is not a good sign.

Chelsea haven't created nothing and doesn't help when your forward doesn't know what the box looks like

Need Fabregas, lack creativity and haven't created any clear cut opportunities
