With Hazard at least he has the excuse he is a right footed playing on the left. Navas doesn't do it for City much either, his quick and has the look of a natural winger. Like in the days on Ripley and Wilcox crossing for Sutton and Shearer. I guess being a good winger isn't the same as running round 3 players or trying cute through balls. Really would like to see Willian do it more.

Your right, same as Ramires if someone puts in a nice offer for Willian no one can blame the club for accepting. Willian has great pace and fast acceleration so I don't know why he doesn't use it more and look to put in more crosses. It's not spectacular but your using your assets and with good crossing leads to goals.

Sorry but Keane got loads of headlines good and bad. He was a great leader and a great player and more than just a ball winner. Like Terry was more than just a defender. Willian is basically another Ramires or even Fernando or Milner. Every team has a runner because you need one. Problem is his end product is so poor.

Every team needs a worker but a team of workers won't win the league.

No one can put Keane and Willian in the sentence Lol. Keane is one of the best midfielders in premier league history, he couldn't score or pass like Scholes could but Keane could also drag Utd through games on his own and score vital goals. Yes Keane was a vital clog in his team because what he did was let Giggs, Beckham and Scholes play. That was his job. To play on the right wing and sometime as cam when we are really lucky you need to be creative, make chances and score more goals, not just be a runner.

Saying someone is dynamic and wins the ball high up the pitch is basically a nice way of saying you run alot mate but when you get the ball most of the time your end product is rubbish anyway. Anyway Maka was a one off who has never been replaced. Willian there are plenty of the same players out there.

Worth 30m?

I certainly don't think someone who chases the ball high up the field is worth 30m, you can get loads of players to do that and in reality that should be the bare min. Willian gets in so many good attacking opportunities and his lack of creativity is really bad. The main similarity between Milner and Willian is they are in their teams because they run a lot, if it was based on quality alone they wouldn't be.

No I knew what you ment, we might aswell say every premier league footballer was better than Hazard then based on this season if we go by your thinking. Milner was used as an example by someone else and I carried it on because it's a good point. There similar players and do the same job for there teams. You need a Milner/Willian in your team but you won't win the league with many of them. I looked at the stats because Willian is Chelsea's best player this season. Milner has the same goals, I think it's 14 assists and in the top 10 for chances created. I'm not bigging Milner up to be a superstar but he does the basics right. Gets wide swings in good crosses. Good set piece taker, runs a lot and was a free. Would anyone pay 30m last summer for Milner though? Chelsea only paid it more to stop Spurs from gettin Willian than getting a a top player.

Does one bad season make a player then? If Willian is worth 30m God knows how much Hazard is worth.

Well Milner has he same amount of prem goals this season and played less games. In the top 10 players for chances created. Not bad for a freebie. Not worth 30m though ;)

Great point, Milner has more going forward and good at set pieces. He has more in his locker and how much he cost Liverpool, freebie. 30m is a lot for a runner.

Spurs players are like those sort of mouthy people who go out and start a fight but when it gets messy can't be seen for s*** and leave there big mates to sort it out.

Basically he is exactly the same as Ramires. Ramires lacked end product but came up with a piece of magic here or there. His first touch was horrendous though and passing wasn't great. But like you I do believe every team needs a runner, it's just you only need one.

I agree, top defender. Would like him at Chelsea. I was more questioning all the money City have spent last summer and most likely will this summer, big sums of money.

If Chelsea are getting rid of Terry they won't get rid of Cahill too, that's too many changes at the back but Chelsea need to start using natural fullbacks who push forward. Just look at Rose and Walker for Spurs. If you use two DMs it's pretty simple football to cover the space they leave if needed. Personally I would give Cuadrado a fair chance, never got one initially at Chelsea because Mourinho makes his mind up about a player after 10mins. If Willian and Oscar have been given a fair go then why not Cuadrado who has performed at a high level in Italy. I thought a deal for Salah to Roma had already been agreed. I think 20m for Kante would be a bargain. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ox or Walcott ends up at Chelsea by the end of the summer, that's if the board control some of the transfers.

Barthez average keeper - won champions league with Marseille, won World Cup and euros, his a terribly average keeper haha. Looking at Barca's defence, Pique couldn't cut it in the prem which is the hardest league in the world. All those players are good and was in Barca's defence at some point but all I have to say is if Mascherano and Pique can be your number one CB pairing then your not winning the league because of that. The whole point on Barca is that Barca and Real have run that league for ages now, it's a totally different league to the prem. How often do you see 8-0s in the prem, it's every week in Spain and players scoring 6 in a game. Barca literally hardly have to defend as they have 90% possession. When do Barca have to go to Stoke at -5 on a December evening in the rain with them launching balls to Crouch?

I will say it again but how did Ivanovic get a new contract and not Terry. Iva is literally a liability to the team and has to go. Mikel has had his time, he needs to go and play first team football elsewhere and Chelsea need some new blood. Matic should get another season with Conte Remy and Oscar I reckon will go. Obviously Falco and Pato will.

Your right, take away the occasion of last night and the running and he was pretty awful. It's just the lack of creativity and I hate to say is worse than Oscars. That's the problem with Chelsea we don't offer a striker a lot of chances so we rely on Hazard too much. William has good pace so I just think run down the wing and throw in some crosses. William ran around loads and showed his badge to the Spurs supporters. But quality wise he was dreadful. It just showed the difference between a player like him and Hazard with one goal. Hazard at his best can run the show, Willian might get you a freekick here or there.

szczesny might of won the title but I bet they wouldn't of been undefeated. Spurs and Leicester are the top 2 teams this season. I bet there fans can look over there teams individual seasons and find instances where there keepers have saved them a number of points. Always happens and always will. Leicester have lost 3 games, Spurs 4 that is because of a good defence and keeper.
