Conte every bit to blame as the players. It looks clear that this is some sort of nonsense he's been working on in training. These 'tactics' where the team sits deep and stands off. The players looked too scared to move out of position even a little. No wonder they looked confused and all over the shop. But Cahill and Iva - no excuses there. Hazard, too, especially, was garbage.

I don't know. Mustafi looks pretty handy.

If it's any consolation for our Nigerian fanbase... We have Moses looking nice and hungry this season and getting plenty of minutes. One in one out, not too bad, I say. (Mikel seems like a very nice guy, BTW, in all the bits and pieces I've seen and read of him off the pitch.)

With both Matic and Kante in there, looking forward to seeing him play with a bit of security. The way Costa and Hazard have been looking recently, this could be very exciting.

This is him at his worst, yet arguably more impressive display of his qualities in that terrible season than 8 or 9 seasons put together of certain other defensive midfielders - not mentioning names. :]

Sorry mate, I know it's all about opinions but Matic was top class. Seemed the perfect DM. If you didn't rate him from day 1, it would mean you being in the tiniest of minorities. @scott Harris, he's regressed in pretty much every way. Always seems slow physically and in making decisions. It wasn't the case before. He was fairly quick at seeing the (forward and refreshingly so) pass, as well as breaking up play, intercepting, tackling, holding off opponents, winning the midfield battles, occasionally going on those runs through the middle of teams. He was snappier in his play all round. One of the things I loved about him was his passing. It was usually well weighted, accurate and often quite incisive. He just seems very slow these days in comparison, and last season, very weak also.

Questions... Do you still have teams called west London blue and middlebrok, etc etc, by the commentators? How does it compare to FiFa? Is the commentary any good? Does it feel too Arcady (players sliding along the pitch...)? Thanks.

True. He was incredibly good. One of the top two or three performers every game. Current level is nothing amazing, but not terrible as some seem to be making out.

Hard Target 2 (Scott Adkins) - typical b movie action and acting. Just about watchable. Conjuring 2 - the usual haunted house possession stuff but based on a famous real life case on England. Quite silly, tbh.

He looked very good the other day. If Fabregas and Hazard can stay switched on, you know Costa will get on the score sheet the way he's playing.
