I think you have a balanced view on him.. but let’s frame it another way and see if he’s being viewed fairly.. was he as or more effective than his midfield partner Kante? Kante actually looks like a player signed from the French second division now and not a world class midfielder his passing was dreadful I thought. There was a instance in the first half where there rb was shaping to cross and Kante come steaming over 100mph and jumped in front of him and you could tell there fullback knew it was coming it was so obvious turned inside Kante like he was never even there and had 20 yards space on the right side of our box, does Jorginho leave gaps like that when he is being a useless defensive shield? Jorginho and kovacic was when we played our best football by far last season and when Thiago Silva isn’t playing Jorginho has to point everyone where to be and it probably takes his energy and urgency to get on the ball as much IMO

I was looking at Liverpool 4-1 down at half time yesterday thinking they will 4-4 .. they conceded another 3 goals in second half with the best CB and full backs in the world apparently. We are as good as any team in the league this year if we can grease the groove and get our defence playing like against palace with regularity we may even have a shot at the title!

Be absolutely ridiculous to send Jorginho to Arsenal .. who do you rate higher in our CM currently ? Because I know Kante and Kova aren’t actually as effective defensively as Jorgi is from organising and interceptions. Maybe harder to pass but nothing else either of them do makes me think there better suited than Jorginho. If I could sell one I would sell Kante.

Everyone can see that back 6 is our strongest. Mendy - French speaking Azpi - English speaking and captain Silva - French speaking and captain Zouma - French speaking Chillwell - English speaking Jorginho - Vice captain and English speaking 3 leaders out of the 6, 2 languages, our two best center backs one the most physical beast we have and the other class and organising.. both center half’s and the keeper all talking French. It just works you can see before yesterday it was going to be our best bet. I’m excited about it. Pair Kante with Jorginho for more of the French speaking spine.

Was also really nice as a side note to have all three of our leaders start together Azpi, Thiago Silva and Jorgi was actually mental watching Silva pointing to Jorginho where to be instead of Jorginho doing it to the whole team, as mad as it sounds Jorginho Silva and Azpi are the players we have with the most grit and if you want players to dig deep and show grit them three have to start.. Jorginho IS deficient in pace and strength but he has the most grit and fight in the whole team every performance he has 2/3 tackles and 3/4 interceptions he’s constantly in the refs ears and fighting with the other players you love to see it when he’s made out to be some soft snail on here. He’s awesome and that’s why Sarri was happy to build around him.

Does anyone else feel he is compromised pace wise because of his injury? And does anyone have any experience of that sort of injury and can say if that’s common or if it’s a mental thing? I ask because you’d think Chelsea would surely know his speed before and after the injury and surely if it was a permanent thing for him to be slow or have no acceleration, they’d just sell to Bayern cheap? Which makes me think it’s a mental thing

Franks grown a lot this season you can tell I no longer even think about his lack of experience, he’s competent it’s as simple as that and next season he will have possibly the deadliest front three in the EPL with Pulisic Werner Ziyich.. one thing I love about him is how vocal he is in the media about for example Pulisic reaching Sterling, Mane, Salah levels and pushing the players on .. Barkley is the same he’s been garbage all season but frank has him fired up for the run in it reminds me of Jose how he seems to make certain players really step up with the belief he has in them think over the season Kovacic he was praising a lot and them Kova scores back to back goals and was just in the most ridiculous form, Mount Tammy and Reece too also Jorginho from pre season he praised a lot for work rate and attitude and ever since he’s looked like the best captain we have. He’s certainly a motivator and has us all the squad on side, he even dropped kepa and kepa gives interviews saying he wants to stay and likes Frank a lot.

Watching highlights of today’s game just further made me concerned Kante is on the decline, we’ve said he’s injured, we’ve said he’s been unfit, we’ve said he’s been rushed back to early and now we’re saying he’s being played out of position when that was also the argument when he was playing RCM like a lunatic right winger. It happens to players they can be world class for years and then all of a sudden they don’t ever hit close to them levels wayyyy wayyy way before there peak, we should know that better than any team having watched Torres tear us a new one and then he signs for us and was just like a timid tortured kitten. look at how both of those players rely on there freakish physical attributes of speed and mobility to literally look levels above the players they play against, it’s a shame but Kante IMO won’t hit the same levels for us or even close.
