Agree with everyone else he’s out of his depth and it’s obvious, he’s been upgraded by Mount and he has no business playing in a double pivot left Jorginho high and dry too many times today that would of cost us points against a better side. He just looks clumsy unaware and awkward when he plays its kind of uncomfortable to watch because you can see he’s trying so hard. Wish it worked out but he’s the exact same player he was at Everton but with maybe less confidence, frustrating, inconsistent and noT showing any signs of improving.

Agree, Barkley is far and wide not good enough for the team it’s painful watching because you can tell he so badly wants to be a success but he’s just not on the level atall. Absolutely couldn’t believe it when Brighton had that dangerous spell and Barkley is hanging in the final third like he’s playing number 10 whilst Jorginho was back trying to cover the midfield on his own. Tomori and Abraham were brilliant today as was jorginho, there header that hit the bar was Alonso closing his eyes and ducking the header again - he’s really bad defending set pieces.

Not being funny but every poster ridiculing me for my post is actually more irrational than I am, the truth of the matter is he wasn’t great and he did miss 3 big chances. He had been passed fit and played two u23 matches before this one don’t make out Grimsby (mid league 2) is some huge step up in levels that his fitness couldn’t handle. Honestly all I’ve said is the truth about his performance last night, if he was great I’d say great performance and who cares if he’s arrogant because he’s our player and he was great but he wasn’t and his contract crap was always going to cause this to happen with some fans. So if I a fan has a bad taste left in there mouth about how many rumours about transfer requests and stalling on signing even after frank publicly saying he will be central numerous times, then your not allowed to comment subjectively on a bad performance because your on a witch hunt? Really not great atall missed three one v ones

James looks really good at points think he will claim the rb spot and glad of it, wasn’t as polished as I was expecting tho remember with about ten minutes to go he got set free and ball got stuck under his feet then he controlled it and gave ball away with his pass few instances of that too, also his first assist was actually deflected to bats off the defender so not sure he will get that. But yeah he played well 7.5/10 Odoi imo really was poor though - missed three one v one’s one in first half two in second, misplaced quite a lot of passes and also did that annoying thing Willian does of seeming to just stop on the ball and slow down the attack. On the other hand his goal was good after about 5/6 attempts and he put a couple of decent balls in but this is Grimsby I honestly think mount has a hat trick if he got them chances. I don’t really rate Hudson over any of the wingers bar maybe and it is a maybe, Pedro. Thought his celebration was pretty ridiculous too. Gilmour was amazing, gave ball away abit when he tired but was really very good. anjorin and maatsen both good too and Guehi to be fair think he deserves a shout. It is really exciting with the youth.

All I said about Hudson Odoi was that I’ve gone off him and don’t like him. I think he thinks a lot of himself without proving anything. Never said he is playing badly. And I didn’t catch james’ assist only him giving the ball away but I want him to make it

I’m going to just be totally honest here and say that I don’t actually like Hudson-Odoi and it’s all down to his contract, I’m watching him now and expecting him to do something every time he gets the ball and even the things he does well like them two little backheel passes I just think “ego”. Really gone off him and I can’t help think he’s overrated. One player who i was really ally looking forward to though was Reece James and unpopular opinion again but I am completely underwhelmed so far, he has just won an award for being the best in his position in the championship and he’s playing pretty poorly against a team two leagues below that standard. I dont know maybe it’s the the tomori mount and Abraham effect making me expect way to much but when you see a youngster dominate salah and one score a hat trick in a away league game it’s hard to find excuses for CHO and James being average against a lower league 2 team injuries or not.

I love the lineup but I actually think it’s far too many changes, I mean 11. Only experience in the team is Pedro and Caba, I wouldn’t class Barkley as a calm experienced player or zouma they both flap. Could of done with kovacic or Jorginho. Bench is fairly strong though but I’ve got a feeling we might still be looking for our first home win after tonight

Had a solid game yesterday was shocked

Agreed about Andreas, sadly I just don’t think he’s as good as I’ve been telling myself all these years, zouma had a better game yesterday than I think I’ve seen from andreas this year, he was bullying Liverpool, all you hope for with Andreas is he is steady and looks reasonably comfortable with the ball but compare that to Tomori and even zouma yesterday and I was thinking to myself I never really notice anything great Andreas does but not make huge mistakes although we know he’s fragile and can do
