I'm in the minority here but I just excitedly watched his YouTube clips and I noticed something .. he looks so slow when sprinting much slower than Costa and Costa isn't fast, I know speed isn't everything but he reminds me of an old fashioned type number 9 .. strong, scores headers and easy chances, determined but I don't see anything special to warrant 70m+ where as I do with Morata.

Personally I'd be jumping at aubameyang or lacazette and have lukaku last choice. They have confirmed price tags and imo are the best two in terms of goals on the list. Would nt mind Morata either.

I think it is much much more likely Antonio sent Diego a message Along the lines off " keep in shape this summer, you have a hard pre season ahead and I expect you to hit the ground running " To which Costa would of found it clever to reply something like " Don't tell me what to do with my holidays " and again likely Antonio will of replied along the lines of "Fine, then I will not count on for you next season" and Costa has used it as a massive excuse to force his way out the club coz he's a twat. Sorry but that's complete rubbish .. you can't keep two strikers happy in one striker system you simply can't .. 1 thrives of the competition and plays every week and one sulks and just plays the odd cup game and then wants to leave and then eventually leaves for way less than what they would of had we not pussy footed around in the first place. I loved Costa and wouldn't of even though about replacing him.but his childish attitude, constantly talking about leaving, constantly gesturing at the Chelsea fans when he scores after having some stick of them for months of bad form just gets under my skin and he can f**k off. I'm 27 and I found that video of him doing chin ups and messing with the fire extinguisher in conte's interview just pathetic and attention seeking. I follow him on instagram and on his instagram story earlier in the season when he was on fire was always posts of him in his home gym training and it really shone through in his performances. Then post xmas we all know what happened and guess what ? The vids of training stopped. He has downed tools mid season TWO YEARS IN A ROW, I don't want to rely on someone like that

Costa and 30 m for griezmann in January would make perfect sense for both clubs but it's a matter or whether his hearts set on Manchester

What I see happening is this .. Costa signing for Atleti in Jan when they can register players again. So I think we will prepare and start the season with Diego as 2nd striker. Just depends who we can get instead. I think we would be brain dead not to go for Lacazette.. forget aubameyang it's never happening.

Athletico can't sign him now, there ban wasn't overturned. 37 goals in all comps last season. Also he has scored 20+ league goals in each of the last three seasons he's a total no brainer.. he's a quality player no doubt about it. Calling him the French Darren bent is so blind ! Tolliso and lacazette for traore and zouma + cash and we have sorted a huge amount of our business out.
